Porkchop presented for a condition called plasma cell pododermatitis (aka “pillow foot”) which is thought to be an immune mediated condition that causes the foot pads to swell. Fortunately his clinical signs are in remission with immunomodulatory therapy, and he is much more comfortable!

Walter, the very handsome 8-year-old Frenchie, was the very first patient to undergo a video otoscopy (VO) under anesthesia at our new location! 🎉



Our team performed digital image capture of both ears and removed a polypoid mass, making this a pretty special first. We’re so excited to officially have VO up and running in our new space!

Patient Spotlight: Zin (short for Zinfandel!) 🍷

This 7 year old Chow Chow stopped by recently and showed off one of our favorite Chow traits—the adorable blue tongue!

With the summer heat rolling in, remember that thick double coats like Zin’s can make hot weather especially challenging. Keep outdoor time short during the hottest parts of the day and watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting, lethargy, or difficulty breathing and seek medical attention immediately for your pet. ☀️
