Who We Are

Ann Becnel Companion Dogs is a family-oriented New Orleans dog training service. Our extensive experience teaching, working with elementary school children, and training dogs all come together in a truly family-friendly service. What We Do

We offer private in-home dog training, puppy training and socialization, behavior modification, semi-private puppy kindergarten, and dog training classes for puppies and dogs.

Katie and Tiramisu also took the Visiting Pet Program Test and passed! Congratulations!!
We do have to continue working on her barking on leash. Tiramisu is perfect off leash. We are going to trick her into thinking she is always off leash using a shark line leash.

A "shark line" in dog training is a specialized, lightweight, plastic-coated braided steel line featuring a small handle, designed to give light corrections during the transition from on-leash to off-leash heeling.

We will be back chaining going from off leash to on leash.

Bonnie and Sally also passed the CGC Test with me and have now passed the Visiting Pet Program Test. Sally is now an official Therapy Dog. I am so proud of this team. Sally will bring smiles to many people in her future visits to hospitals.

Boomer passed his CGC Test months ago with me. Now he has passed the Visiting Pet Program Test. He is now an official Therapy Dog!! I could not be prouder of Darren, Trish and Boomer. I was invited out to eat lunch at Sala to celebrate. Boomer was well rewarded for all the hard work he put in. And I was rewarded too with lunch, cake, flowers and a present!!
