Today is one of the very best days of the year: Nola's Gotcha Day! š„³
Three years ago today, Mr. Hound About Town and I officially made Nola our very first foster fail after just 14 days in our home. Before that, she'd spent the first four years of her life in a puppy mill in Nebraska, producing litter after litter.
This Gotcha Day feels even more special than the last two because this is the year everything we poured into her recovery finally paid off. Bringing her back to health and restoring her eyesight was a long, difficult (and costly) journey, and Iām so grateful those efforts have been so successful š„¹
I like to say sheās "Benjamin Buttoned" this year. At 7Ā½ years old, she's healthier, happier, more energetic, and more playful than she's ever been! She genuinely acts younger now than she did when we brought her home, and watching her bloom over the past year has been nothing short of incredible.
