This cute gelding was quick to steal my heart! He is sweet and in my opinion the perfect size at a very stocky 13.3hh. I am 5’9 in the videos for reference. He is 8 yrs old and build like a quarter horse. I went to a horse sale to purchase a different horse and couldn’t leave without this guy. He came from a man that stated he was the largest traveling petting zoo. I was told prior to this, he was an amish driving pony, while I do believe that to be true, I do not drive so, I cannot be sure. What I can tell you, is he is a TRAIL PONY DELUXE. He will go over, under, through anything you point him at, he is not spooky and truly doesn’t care about much. I have used him to move cows, jump logs, over tarps, through the woods, down the road, he does not care! He seems to really enjoy exploring out and about. He is great to groom, great for feet and will tie all day. He loads, unloads, and hauls with ease. He will ground tie ANYWHERE, you drop the rope and he stands there. He doesn’t know a ton about arena work but, does trot some cute circles. He will wtc but, doesn’t know very much about loping circles. He rides in a snaffle. Poptart is sound and maintenance free. He currently wears shoes because that is how I purchased him. He would be great at a lot of things with minimal tuning or take him down the trail now! He respects fence, wears a blanket, great with others. He is very much a horse in a pony body, his stride is larger like a horse and he just acts like one, not a naughty pony.. if you know you know. The only negative thing I can say about him is that he is not the kind to meet you at the gate. I do think he will be, he just isn’t there yet. Admittedly the first time I caught him from the pasture, it took a minute, every time he is easier and more eager he just seemed closed off at first. Poptart deserves the most loving hope and I want that for him! If you think that may be you, send me a message! I will happily provide any other info you’d like!
