With the 9 day gun season starting tomorrow I will be taking those days to spend time in the woods with family. This time of the year I dont get out much to track, if at all. We are hoping to get on a few tracks in the late bow season. We thank everybody for trusting us in their recovery. It is truely amazing to be able to watch this dog do what she loves. Good luck to everyone in the 9 day and shoot straight!

We went 1 for 2 today

Sometimes in the heat of the moment you dont realize how much the deer is actually quartered to or away from you. He put an absolute perfect shot on this deer but it was not the track job he had hoped for. The deer ended up being more quartered to him than he had thought. All in all the visual sign wasn't enough to track by eye but Oakleys nose thought differently. Another "I wouldn't have found this on my own" and its so rewarding! Thanks for trusting us to find your trophy!

Some very good dog work last night in Iowa!

First track took some time to figure out his back track but once we did it was game on until we hit a property line and had to back out because of property permission. This morning they were able to go in and locate him within 100 yards of where we backed out.

Second track went 3/4 of a mile in the COMPLETE opposite direction they had thought it went. Wide open fields for as far as you could see. Oakley led us to one little thicket near a road and house and he happened to be expired at the bottom of it.

Neither one of these deer would have been found without a dog. And when the hunters say that it makes what we do even better! Congrats to both hunters! Glad we could help!

Been on a huge dry spell with suspected deer that are alive with a few conformation of life. Tonight we had no tracks and had the opportunity to get on one that should have been a layup up and it absolutely was. Deer ran 100 yards and we put Oakley on it and we were there in 1 minute. Absolute satisfaction for the dog and some confidence after a dry spell. Happy dog and hunter!

I dont know about you guys but in 10 days we are tracking whitetails! Look at the map/list and check your local counties...

I dont know about you guys but in 10 days we are tracking whitetails! Look at the map/list and check your local counties and surrounding trackers! Save their numbers and dont be afraid to call/text. The eailer the better. If you have questions on how to handle a situation before a dog comes get ahold of one of us right away and we will run you through it! Get ahold of us BEFORE you go in to search the whole woods! It will make your odds of recovery higher! Remember we can only recover deer that are dead!!! We can not wait for the 2025/2026 season!

I was able to spend part of my weekend in Cadott for the Wisconsin and Minnesota tracking/training event! Glad I was able to make some time out of a busy weekend to spend some time up there. Got to learn a few new things, see some new dogs and meet some great people! Doing all I can to make sure we are better than we were the previous year! Thanks to all that helped organize and put this event on!

As Wisconsin opens its gun deer season tomorrow I will not be tracking for the gun season. I will be spending time hunting with family. Feel free to get ahold of me if you need to get in touch with another tracker. I can surely do that. Good luck to all heading out in the morning! Shoot straight!

Called the track last night to come back this afternoon as we suspected a gut shot after further conversation. Followed up today and we ended up finding her alive at 23hrs. The hunter was able to go in and finish the hunt. Even though the shot looked good it was a pure gut shot. Goes to show you even if the shot looks good the anatomy of a deer is deceiving

Another 1-2 day the other day. This time Dylan Way was able to get a little time behind Oakley!

The recovered deer had a high entrance and a further back exit which made looking for blood almost impossible. Hunter was confident on the shot but backed out because of no blood. It was a layup for Oakley and Dylan! Also the hunter and his brother doubled up that night!

The non recovered deer did not have much blood until a couple hundred yards down where it bedded. Oakley made short work of the couple hundred yards and just after the bed is where she told us there is nothing more for her to look for.

1-2 this morning. Oakley was not skipping a beat this morning with the rain/moisture we are getting!
