Please excuse the temporary downtime of the camera system. DHCP and MAC reserved cameras don't mix well apparently. We will be back up and running shortly.

Today was a bittersweet but exciting day at A Dog’s Dream as we said goodbye to Lauren and wished her well on her next adventure.

Lauren has been such a wonderful part of our team, and while we’re going to miss having her here, we are genuinely excited for what’s ahead of her.

She has been thoughtful and gracious throughout her time with us, right through her last day, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has given to A Dog’s Dream, our clients, and, of course, all the dogs she has loved along the way.

It’s always a good thing to see someone you care about grow, take the next step, and chase a new opportunity.

Lauren, thank you for being part of A Dog’s Dream. We are so happy for you and can’t wait to see where life takes you next.

May good fortune find you in all your endeavors. You’ll always have people here cheering you on. ❤️🐾

🐾 A quick word about matting!

We’ve all seen the horror stories: a dog goes in for grooming and comes home looking like a “skinned alien” because severe matting required a shave-down. Unfortunately, this can be a reality—but hopefully your groomer will contact you first if they need to go beyond your original request.

We often hear, “I brush my dog every day, so there’s no matting.” The best test is simple: if a metal grooming comb can pass freely through the coat all the way to the skin, the coat is not matted. If it can’t, a shave-down—or significant brushing and dematting—may be necessary.

Line brushing is the key to preventing mats and tangles. 🪮

We’ve included this quick video to show exactly what we mean when we say your pup needs consistent brushing. ❤️🐶

If your dog is getting matted after regular brushing at home, you m...

A couple of things we wanted to share today! ❤️🐾

First, a HUGE thank you to the kind lady who dropped off Nothing Bundt Cakes for our staff for National Dog Day! 🧁🐶

Our team gets so little recognition for the hard work they do every single day to keep our doggos safe, happy, and loved. Gestures like this truly mean so much, and you absolutely made their day a little sweeter! ❤️ Thank you!!

And a quick reminder for our clients:

🇺🇸 WE WILL BE CLOSED MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7TH, IN OBSERVANCE OF LABOR DAY. 🇺🇸

We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing holiday weekend! We'll see you back to our normal schedule afterward. 🐾❤️💙

Some dogs go to daycare to burn energy.

Some come to work on their social skills.

And then there are the ones who show up every morning like they own the place.

You know the type.

They clock in.
Inspect every room.
Greet every employee.
Judge the new kids.
Lead the zoomies.
Demand payment in belly rubs.

Middle management has nothing on a daycare dog.

We wouldn't have them any other way.

🐾 Tell us... if your dog had a job at A Dog's Dream, what would their official title be?
