100% true in our vehicle everyday!!

100% true in our vehicle everyday!!

🚨 IF I EVER GET PULLED OVER, I’M PROBABLY GOING TO JAIL 🚨

Not because I’ve done anything illegal…

But because the inside of a horse person’s truck looks like a rolling crime scene. šŸ˜‚

Officer, I can explain.

That wasn’t ma*****na.

It was alfalfa.

That syringe had Banamine in it.

Those needles were not for me.

The baggie of white powder is electrolytes.

The unlabeled pills are SMZs.

The blood on those towels is also from a horse.

The giant bottle of lubricant is veterinary.

The shoulder-length gloves are completely normal.

The ropes, chains, zip ties, headlamp, tarp, shovel, and knife are all ranch-related.

And before you ask…

Yes, there may be a f***l sample in that Tupperware.

No, you do not want to open it.

At this point, forensics is getting called, my truck is being impounded, and I’m sitting in the back of a patrol car trying to convince everyone that the suspicious bottle with ā€œPAIN MEDSā€ written on it is just Banamine whose original label wore off.

Eventually, they’ll release me.

Horse people don’t carry paraphernalia.

We carry an entire mobile veterinary clinic held together with baling twine, hay wire, and poor decisions. šŸ˜‚

What’s the most suspicious-looking thing currently riding around in your truck that has a perfectly reasonable horse-person explanation? šŸ˜‚

This week is National Veterinary Technician Week for 2024. I would like to acknowledge the 2 wonderful individuals that are integral to RGE’s daily life! Just a few amazing things these 2 do:
-provide me with amazing assistance in the field while working on our patients. They both have amazing horse skills!
-provide the often under-appreciated day-to-day support that makes us able to get there and have all our equipment to care for your horses.
-provide behind-the-scenes lab assistance to get those results in a timely fashion.
-provide windshield time so I can answer emails, phone calls and make follow-up plans.
-provide organizational support for the chaos of my life running a practice and being a busy mom to 2 young kiddos that think they need to be involved in ALL the after school activities.
-MOST IMPORTANTLY, these 2 provide entertainment, friendship and a source of light in my life!!

Please join me by taking a few moments to show these wonderful women your appreciation!!
