Zoi's Animal Rescue

Zoi's Animal Rescue We're a 501(c)(3) foster and donor-based rescue serving the greater Brazos Valley area, with a focus on addressing the dumped dog epidemic in Grimes County.

Our mission is to provide a safe haven for abandoned and neglected dogs and find them a home. Zoi's Animal Rescue is a rescue group and therefore we do not have a facility to house and show our animals. We rely on foster homes (and sometimes boarding) to shelter our animals. We operate in the greater Brazos Valley (about 40 mile radius from Bryan/College Station, Texas).

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED — TWO BABY GIRLS 🚨

We are REALLY closed for intakes. Like, REALLY closed. But we simply could not turn our heads and leave these two babies to die in the Texas heat. ❤️‍🩹

A Good Samaritan found these two little girls in a field and brought them to safety. They appear to be approximately 8–10 weeks old, and both are female.

The Good Samaritan can keep them until Wednesday, but after that, they need a committed foster home.

🐾 What fostering looks like:
We provide all necessary supplies for your home. We provide medical care. They are not potty trained. They are not kennel trained. They will likely need to be dewormed multiple times for intestinal parasites. Most importantly, we need someone who can make a committed foster commitment until they are adopted. That could be a few weeks… or it could be months. We cannot predict that.
We cannot take them into the rescue without a foster available. We need a foster in order to help them.

If you can open your home to one or both of these babies, please send us a message ASAP. This may be the only way we can save them.

And if you are another rescue with an interested foster or adopter who may be able to help, please reach out to us. We are happy to work together to get these girls somewhere safe.

They didn't ask to be born into this situation. They just need someone willing to give them a chance. 💜

Please share. A foster could be the difference between life and death for these two babies.

Happy DAY EIGHT of posting Hickory until he is adopted! 🐾

Life with Hickory will NEVER be boring! His puppy antics never fail to keep his foster family entertained, and he always seems to find a new way to make us laugh.

The latest? Finding new and interesting spots to lounge around the house. Apparently, the couch is much more comfortable when you’re perched on top of it, and the top of your kennel makes a pretty great lookout too.

At this point, we wouldn’t be surprised if a DNA test revealed that Hickory has a cat in his family tree 😹

He’s just a goofy, curious puppy who likes to keep things interesting—and we love getting to see all the funny little quirks that make Hickory, well… Hickory. 💜

We have a feeling his future family is going to have just as much fun discovering all of his puppy antics as we have!

Think Hickory is a fit for your home? Apply to adopt today! 😄 linktr.ee/zoisanimalrescue

Another adoption has fallen through. And once again, Lyndee is the one left waiting. 💔

Lyndee has been let down before. She was previously adopted and spent 1.5 years in a home where she was left outside for long periods of time. She escaped multiple times and came dangerously close to running into busy main roads. Eventually, she was returned to us.

And somehow, through everything, Lyndee has remained one of the sweetest, most resilient dogs we know. She is now in an incredible foster home who absolutely adores her — and honestly, Lyndee is basically perfect.

🐾 Kennel trained and does great when her people aren't home
🐾 Sleeps politely on her own or in bed with you
🐾 Plays well with other dogs and respects dogs who don't want to play
🐾 Tug of war is her favorite game
🐾 Friendly with new people and children
🐾 Confident in public
🐾 Potty trained
🐾 Walks well on leash with only a slight pull
🐾 Not stubborn and eager to please
🐾 Rides well in the car
🐾 Loves sitting in and playing in the kiddie pool
🐾 40 lbs and fully vetted

Lyndee came to us nearly two years ago with her two puppies. All three tested positive for parvovirus and, after a scary fight, all three overcame it. She has faced illness. She has faced abandonment. She has faced being returned. And now, she has faced another failed adoption. Yet she is still trusting. Still loving. Still playful. Still hopeful.

This weekend, Lyndee was SO excited to finally go home. Her approved adopter was equally excited to welcome her. But things fell through. So instead of waking up in her forever home, Lyndee is back in her foster home… waiting. Again. We don't understand how this girl keeps getting overlooked. She has been patient. She has been resilient. She has been nothing but wonderful.

Lyndee deserves a family who will finally keep their promise to her. Please help us make sure the next time she gets excited to go home, it is the LAST time she has to say goodbye. 🫶💜

Meet Fin! 🐾

Fin is a fun-loving puppy who is ready to find his forever family! He may be the biggest puppy in his litter, but don’t let that fool you—he’s still expected to stay under 35 lbs full grown.

Fin is a social little guy who loves playing with other dogs and absolutely adores kids. He loves attention, being held, and zooming around with his favorite squeaky toys. Basically, if there’s a person ready to give him some love or a toy ready to squeak, Fin is happy! 🫶

He’s looking for a family who will give him all the love, playtime, and cuddles he deserves while helping him grow into the best boy he can be.

📍 Located in College Station/Bryan, TX
🐾 Meetings can only be arranged with an approved application.

Happy DAY SEVEN of posting Hickory until he is adopted! 😄

Today's fun fact: Hickory takes his sleep very seriously. 😴🐾

This boy is always ready for an adventure and loves keeping up with all the puppy fun, but after a good round of playing, Hickory knows when it’s time to clock out. He plays hard, and then he’s ALL about nap time. 💤

And don’t expect Hickory to be the first one out of bed in the morning! He is often the last of the dogs to get up, and when he does finally decide it’s time to start the day, he needs a few minutes to fully boot up. 😂

Basically, Hickory has mastered the perfect puppy schedule: play hard, sleep hard, repeat. He absolutely loves taking nap time with his doggy siblings, too (featuring his adoptable sister, Maple)!

We’re pretty sure his dream family will appreciate a puppy who knows how to have fun and knows when it’s time to settle down for a good nap.

Think Hickory is meant to be cuddled up on YOUR couch? Apply to adopt him! 💜 linktr.ee/zoisanimalrescue

Meet Pearl!

Pearl may be tiny, but she is a little firecracker with enough energy and personality to keep up with anyone! 🐾 She's always on the move and loves to play, especially if crinkly toys, squeaky toys, or a good game of tug-of-war are involved. Pearl definitely has a mischievous side and is always finding something fun to do. 😁

She's also incredibly people-oriented and loves being wherever her humans are. If you get up and walk to another room, chances are Pearl will be right behind you—she just likes being close and involved in whatever is going on.

For as playful and energetic as she is, Pearl has a very sweet, snuggly side too. 🫶 She's confident, affectionate, curious about the world around her, and always ready for either her next adventure or a good cuddle.

Pearl is 9-weeks-old and 5 pounds. She is expected to be no larger than 30 pounds full grown, and her adoption includes 4 DHLPP vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, microchip, and spay. Pearl will be ready for meet and greets September 15 and ready to go home October 3! 💜

✨ MEET REMI ✨

This sweet Dachshund mix is almost 7 months old and is still waiting for someone to realize just how special she is. 🥹💜 Remi is the kind of puppy who truly has it all — playful, loving, well-mannered, and happiest when she’s getting attention from her people.

Remi is great with both large and small dogs and absolutely wonderful with kids. She’s friendly with strangers, loves getting out in public, and is always happy to make new friends. She loves to play and has that fun puppy energy, but once playtime is over, she settles down nicely and is perfectly content relaxing with her people.

She’s also doing AMAZING with her training! Remi is fully potty trained, doggy-door trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and does well in her kennel. She has come such a long way and is ready to bring all of those good-girl skills into her forever home.

And if there’s one thing Remi loves most, it’s cuddling. She wants nothing more than to curl up next to you, soak up all the love, and be your little shadow. She’s such a sweet balance of playful puppy and calm companion.

We truly don’t understand why this girl is still waiting. She has so much love to give and is more than ready for a family of her own. 🏡💜

Could Remi be your new best friend? Share her post, tag your friends, and help us find this sweet girl the forever home she deserves!

MEADOW IS ADOPTED! YAY! 💜✨

Meadow's story is one that we will never forget.

This sweet girl escaped a hoarding situation while pregnant, gave birth outside, and spent months caring for her puppies before they were finally rescued. She was so young to have already experienced such a difficult life, yet somehow, Meadow never let the world harden her heart.

Despite everything she had been through, Meadow remained the sweetest, most trusting girl. She loves people, loves her family, and has the most beautiful heart of gold. 🫶

And now, after everything Meadow has been through, she finally has exactly what she deserves: the most perfect parents and TWO doggy siblings who she absolutely adores! 🐾 Watching her settle into a home where she is safe, loved, spoiled, and surrounded by her family is the kind of happy ending we dream about for every dog who comes through our doors.

Meadow, you deserved a life filled with nothing but love from the very beginning. We're so sorry you had to experience the hard parts, but we are SO happy that your story gets to end here — with a family who will love you for the rest of your life. 💜

You have such a pure heart, Meadow. We love you so much, sweet girl. ✨

Happy tails, Meadow, now named Maggie! 🐾

Here’s this month’s Zoi’s Animal Rescue financial recap 💜

We want to be transparent about what it takes to care for the 60+ dogs currently in our rescue. These numbers represent real expenses for dogs who often arrive with nowhere else to turn.

Our largest expense, by far, is veterinary care. Most dogs come directly off the streets without surrender fees, rescue pledges, or anyone else helping cover their care. Many arrive sick, injured, neglected, heartworm positive, or in need of urgent treatment.

Before adoption, dogs may need exams, diagnostics, medications, surgeries, spay/neuter, dental work, vaccinations, microchips, and follow-up care. Veterinary bills can quickly reach tens of thousands of dollars.

We also provide food for 60+ dogs every day, along with heartworm prevention, medications, vaccinations, microchips, and the supplies needed to keep our pups healthy, safe, and comfortable.

Our adoption fees are $250 for adults and $300 for puppies, but these only cover a portion of each dog’s care. Donations help bridge that gap and allow us to keep saying “yes” when another dog needs help.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our posts, and helped spread the word about our life-changing work. Because of your support, we are ending August with all of our veterinary bills paid in full. 🫶

But the need never stops. We have two surgeries scheduled in the next couple of weeks, plus annual veterinary visits coming up. Donations are always needed and deeply appreciated.

We also want to be clear: Zoi’s is still CLOSED FOR INTAKES. While donations are essential, money does not open foster homes. Foster homes are, by far, our biggest need. We cannot take in more dogs until we have safe, committed foster homes available.

If you’ve thought about fostering, now is the time! If you can’t foster, sharing our posts may be the next most helpful thing you can do.

Thank you for supporting our pups and helping us change their lives. 💜
