||My Journey||• My love for animals and desire to make a difference in the lives of pets has been a passion of mine since I was a child.
I naturally gravitated to any animal I came across. All I wanted was to love, comfort and care for them. My first pet was "Sammy" a mixed breed rescue from . He was my best friend and the true definition of unconditional love.
Because of sammy, my passion for animals blossomed and my life purpose was to care for as many of them as I could. When I was 16, my first job was working as a Veterinary Assistant. This was my first introduction to the veterinary field and I was hooked.
At 18, I went to college majored in environmental science and forestry and recieved my Bachelor's of Science from SUNY Enviormental Science & Forestry- .esf . There I studied about the numerous gifts our extraordinary environment provides for us all. I was blessed with the opportunity to explore the world, from the Adirondack mountains to the many wonders of Australia.
After college, I moved to South Carolina and worked for a research biologist studying white- tailed deer. When I moved back to New York, I was an Educational Guide for children at the Queens County Farm Museum. In 2002, I found my way back to the veterinary community and decided to become licensed as a Veterinary Technician.
Upon graduating from SUNY Canton- and passing my NY State Board Exam, I've been honored to serve the pets and families of my community as a Licensed VeterinaryTechnician for over 14yrs.
Vet Tech On The Go started as a solution to help ease the stress/ anxiety that some pets (and pet parents) face when going to the Veterinary hospital for basic medical services. My dog Cooper - had episodes of anxiety and it was difficult to keep him calm once he started to stress. Very often like the pet parents I see daily, finding an option to alleviate the stress and provide comfort is the #1 goal.
My mission is to be a valuable resource to the community and provide access to personalized quality care that every pet can enjoy while in a comfortable environment- HOME! 🏠🐾❤
