My overnights may be higher than others. This is because I need to arrange help with my roomie for my pup (also I just don’t like to be away from him too long 🥴🤣).

If my overnights aren’t in your budget, I have a very trusted, affordable pet sitter I’m happy to recommend. I’ve personally used her for two years when I go on vacation! She has a fenced-in yard, works from home, provides walks, and absolutely spoils Maui!! Feel free to message me for her info, she’s happy to receive referrals 🐾

Maggie through the seasons 🍂❄️🌸☀️

Growing up in Mississippi, I never really got to experience all the seasons. Watching nature’s changes and all the different holiday decorations makes me enjoy my job that much more! From fall leaves to snow days, spring blooms to summer greens, the little differences in every neighborhood make each walk feel like its own adventure. I love watching the world change around us, one paw step at a time!

Meet Maui - the tail behind RedTail! My six year old golden retriever baby. The sweetest soul and the reason I first got into pet care! ❤️

He is a separation anxiety pup, which made me realize how much our pets depend on us! It would be hard for me to leave him, even just for the day. Being able to stop by and see him between my walks helps up both so much, and I wanted to give that same peace of mind to other pet parents.

Maui is my other half! He’s been with me through nursing school, night shifts at the hospital, living in three states and six homes, and even a short time chasing my dream job as a flight attendant. That didn’t last long though because I quickly realized I couldn’t be away from him.

He’s been there for me through every chapter! I’m so grateful that RedTail lets me be there for other pets the way Maui has always been there for me. 💛

Did you know that your dog actually benefits from spending some time alone at home?

I used to worry so much about leaving my dog by himself. My friends know the many plans I have bailed on or left early because of him. But after reading Dog Knows, I learned that dogs need at least 16 hours of sleep each day. More importantly, they get their most restful naps when the house is quiet and we’re not around. If they’re woken up constantly, they are not completing a full sleep cycle and may remain in shallow sleep.

So while we’re out running errands or at work, our dogs are usually catching up on the deep, peaceful sleep they need to stay healthy and happy. A little quiet time isn’t lonely time, it’s rest and recharge time for your pup. 💛
