I wish I could tell you my name. Honestly, I don't even remember at this point. I used to have a family here in Nashville, Tennessee until they moved away. I caught them just in time to see their moving van driving away and ran after them. I saw them look right at me and then laugh as they sped up and drove away; I wonder what they were laughing about...
Now I spend my days sitting on this stoop near my old home. I sometimes sit at my family's balcony hoping they'll come back but they never do. I've spent two Tennessee winters on this stoop and I have to be honest in saying that I'm sad and lonely that no one has shown an interest in adopting me.
I have a few feral cats that live near me, but I don't really get along with them. I'm domesticated and don't know how to hunt for food like they do. Thankfully a nice lady next door gives me food everyday. She loves me very much but can't take me in because her house is full of cats already.
Another nice tenant named Andrew likes to come by and pet me. He says he wants to adopt me but I don't think I would get along with his two rambunctious dogs. He offered to make me a page to share my story instead.
I consider myself a very nice cat; I'm skittish at first but if you pet me I can't resist the urge to purr and meow. It reminds me of my old family. I would really love to have a forever home, but Andrew made me promise that I'd let him make sure any new owners were responsible. I don't think my heart can take being abandoned again.
I may have heartworms or some other illnesses and I would really like those to get treated so I can live a long healthy life. In return, I would love you unconditionally for being my rescuer. Will you give me a forever home?
