We celebrate the unbreakable bonds between pups and their people while also raising awareness + some much-needed funds for animal welfare & rescue groups.

The Tiny But Mighty Fund was created to celebrate the unbreakable bonds between animals and their companions, while also raising awareness and funding for animal welfare and rescue groups in the Middle Tennessee community. The fund that is managed by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee honors the spirit of Chico, a miniature Chihuahua that passed away in 2013 from congestive heart failure

, and is named for the inspiration he provided his guardian, and to serve as a reminder that even the tiniest acts of kindness can make a mighty big difference. Some dogs leave paw prints on our hearts. Olive left an entire legacy.

Today, we say goodbye to a very special Tiny But Mighty Legend.

For years, Olive and her mama, Abigail Walters FurEver Friends Nashville, showed us what it means to love animals with your whole heart. They stood alongside us and so many rescues, helped raise funds, shared their voices, and advocated tirelessly for animals in need.

Olive may have been the face of so many moments, but the love behind them was unmistakable. Together, she and Abby made a difference in more lives than they will ever know.

We are so grateful Olive was part of our Tiny But Mighty family and that her sweet, beautiful spirit will live on through all the good she helped make possible.

Rest easy, sweet Olive. Your work here mattered. You were loved. You will be missed. And your legacy will live on. 🐾❤️

Dolly Parton has always understood the kind of love animals give us—the unconditional, uncomplicated kind that becomes part of who we are. Through her kindness, compassion, and love for animals, she has reminded us that caring for the vulnerable is one of the greatest ways we can leave the world better than we found it.

As Dolly said, “Dogs become part of your heart and soul and your life.”

That spirit is part of her legacy, too: a life built on kindness, generosity, and making room for every creature to feel loved.
