Big things happened at Copper Quill Haven this weekend. 🐾

A major kennel-assembly project is officially underway, thanks to an incredible group of volunteers and the support of Pet Haven Cat Adoption Center

Putting together kennels is no small task. It takes time, tools, teamwork, patience, and plenty of determination. Every panel assembled brings us one step closer to creating a functional, welcoming space for the animals and families we hope to serve.

We are deeply grateful to the volunteers who showed up ready to work ommunity support is what turns an empty building into a haven.

Thank you for building alongside us, piece by piece.

Please like, share or comment if this mission means something to you.

How does Copper Quill Haven get funding?

CQH is funded through community support, donations, grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.

That means every gift matters. A $10 donation, a shared post, a business sponsorship, a donated supply, a grant connection, or a volunteer hour all help move the work forward.

We are actively working on grant opportunities and local partnerships, but nonprofit funding is rarely one big magic door. It is usually a hundred small doors opened by people who care.

When you donate to CQH, you are helping build prevention-based animal welfare in our community.

Want to help? Donate, share, sponsor, or connect us with a local business that may want to support spay/neuter access.

Is Copper Quill Haven affiliated with the county?

Copper Quill Haven is an independent nonprofit organization.

We are not a county agency, and we are not funded or operated by the county. Our work depends on donations, grants, volunteers, sponsorships, and community partnerships, like Operation Community Cats

That said, we care deeply about being a helpful community resource. Our goal is to work alongside animal welfare groups, rescues, local leaders, and community members to reduce unwanted litters and improve access to spay/neuter resources.

CQH exists because community problems need community solutions.

What is Copper Quill Haven?

Copper Quill Haven is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization working to increase access to affordable spay/neuter resources and reduce preventable animal suffering in our community.

Our focus is simple but powerful: help more animals get fixed before unwanted litters begin. Spay/neuter saves lives, reduces shelter pressure, prevents suffering, and helps families keep pets healthy and safe.

We are building this work with local partnerships, community support, volunteers, and donors who believe prevention matters.

CQH is here for the long game: fewer unwanted litters, fewer animals in crisis, and more resources for the people trying to do the right thing.

Follow our page, share our posts, and help us spread the word.

We’re building something our community has needed for a long time: more affordable spay/neuter access.

And today, we’re asking for a little booster rocket!

A donation of any size helps Copper Quill Haven move closer to opening, stocking, and operating a clinic focused on prevention.

$10 helps cover small startup supplies.
$25 helps move clinic setup forward.
$50 helps us build real capacity.
$100+ helps turn “someday” into “soon.”

This work is not flashy. It is better than flashy.

It is fewer accidental litters.
It is less pressure on rescues.
It is more access for families.
It is prevention with a front door.

Copper Quill Haven is getting closer to opening, and we’re looking for local businesses that want to be part of building something our community needs.

We’re creating a low-cost clinic focused on spay/neuter care, because access matters. When families can afford care, pets stay healthier, rescues get breathing room, and fewer animals fall through the cracks.

Right now, we’re building our community support network.

Local businesses can help by:
+ Sponsoring opening supplies
+ Donating gift cards or materials
+ Sharing our posts
+ Hosting a small donation jar or flyer
+ Connecting us with people who want to help
Becoming part of our referral network once we open

You don’t have to be a huge company to make a real impact. A small business with a big heart can move the needle more than you think.

If your business wants to support affordable animal care in our community, message us. We’d love to connect. [email protected]

We’re getting closer to opening, and now we’re working on the practical pieces that make a clinic function.

Right now, we’re looking for help with setup and office/clinic support items, especially:

+ Sturdy shelving
+ Storage bins
+ Office supplies
+ Clipboards
+ Cleaning supplies
+ Laundry/storage items
+ Waiting area items
+ Basic setup furniture

These may not be the flashiest needs, but they are the bones of a working clinic. A donated shelf can become organized surgical supplies. A box of clipboards can become smoother appointments. A stack of storage bins can save staff from the ancient nonprofit tradition of “where did we put that thing?”

Local businesses, individuals, and community groups: this is a great way to help us open strong.

Email us if you have items to donate, want to sponsor supplies, or can connect us with a local business that might help. [email protected]

Copper Quill Haven is moving from idea to actual, physical, very-real walls.

We’re in the building-prep stage now, which means every step matters: paint, supplies, setup, systems, volunteers, and the quiet behind-the-scenes work that turns an empty space into a place where animals and their people can get help.

Our goal is simple: increase access to affordable spay/neuter in our community.

Opening a clinic takes a village, a spreadsheet, and apparently a deeply suspicious amount of shelving.

Want to help us get closer?

You can:

+ Donate toward opening needs
+ Share our posts
+ Connect us with local businesses
+ Watch for volunteer opportunities coming soon

Follow along, share this post, and help us build the next piece.

We’re building out Copper Quill Haven’s clinic space, and one of our biggest current wishlist needs is shelving and storage.

Shelving helps us keep clinic supplies clean, organized, accessible, and ready for use. It also helps us reserve more of our startup funding for medical equipment, vaccines, surgery supplies, and direct care access.

We’re looking for:

Heavy-duty shelving
Wire shelves
Utility shelves
Storage racks
Clear bins/totes
Cabinets
Drawer organizers
Cleaning supply storage
Labeling supplies

New or gently used is welcome if it is clean, sturdy, and functional.

Have something to donate?
Message us with a photo, dimensions if possible, and your general location.
