Barking Beauties Grooming – Update

August was a huge milestone for us — we finished 459 appointments, making it our biggest month ever. Every month this year has continued trending upward, and we couldn’t be more proud of the team and the community that’s helped us grow.

As Idaho’s first family‑built, corporate‑ran W2 grooming salon, we put a lot of focus into doing things the right way. We carry Bailee Insurance so we take responsibility for the pets in our care, and we use A.I. cameras in every room to maintain the highest level of oversight and safety.

Our groomers come up through our in‑house training program, and our retention remains one of the strongest in the Valley — when groomers train with us, they stay with us.

We’re grateful for every family that trusts us with their pets, and we’re excited to keep growing and improving. Thank you for being part of our journey.

He was wiggling, trying to avoid it, tail wagging the whole time but she had him secure with a belly band and lead, talking to him, reassuring him, keeping him safe and steady.

Every groomer here is trained to handle anxious, dramatic, stubborn, or “nope, not today” dogs safely and calmly. No injuries, no panic, no chaos just skill, structure, and reassurance.

He finished his nails, hopped off the table happy as ever, and strutted out like he owned the place.

Nail trims are a walk‑in service. no need to call.

Come anytime Tuesday–Saturday between 9:00–4:30.

$15 for a nail trim, $20 for grinding.

✨ When Comfort Comes First — A Sweet Walk‑In Nail Trim ✨
Today we had a walk‑in: a beautiful girl whose owner mentioned one simple thing —
“She doesn’t like the grooming table.”

That’s all we needed to know.

Instead of insisting on the table or forcing a routine, our groomers paused, read her body language, and made a plan that put her comfort first.

Aiden stepped in to soothe her, gently holding her head, petting her, grounding her, and giving her the reassurance she needed.
Meanwhile, Dawnell handled the nail trim with calm, confident hands, moving at the dog’s pace and keeping everything smooth and stress‑free.

⭐ Aiden Is Officially a Full Groomer! 🎉
We’re excited to share that Aiden has officially graduated from our apprenticeship program and is now grooming full time at Barking Beauties!

He’s averaging 3–4 dogs a day, and while some specialty cuts still take a little extra time (as every new groomer grows their skillset), he’s doing great work and building confidence fast.

With Aiden now fully on the floor, Barking Beauties has:

We hear this a lot:
“My dog struggled today — maybe they need one‑on‑one grooming.”

It’s a common belief, but it’s usually not accurate.
