We want to warn our community about a page operating under the name "Lucky Tails" (FB Page ID: 61590695115900) that appears to be using a FAKE IDAHO CONNECTION to gain the trust of animal lovers and solicit donations. The page lists an address in MERIDIAN, IDAHO, but here's the problem: that address leads directly to MERIDIAN CITY HALL! Not an animal rescue, not a shelter, not a veterinary facility. City Hall. We have serious concerns that this Idaho address is being used to make the page appear to be a legitimate local rescue organization.
This page has also been taking photos and videos from legitimate animal rescues and altering the content to make it appear as though these injured, neglected, and rescued animals are in their care. They are NOT. The page also uses AI-generated images and videos to create misleading rescue stories and appeal to people's compassion.
And the red flags don't stop there.
π© The address listed on the page leads to Meridian City Hall, not an animal rescue facility.
π© The phone number listed is a Google Voice number.
π© We could not locate a corresponding business registration with the Idaho Secretary of State or verification of nonprofit status.
π© The page presents itself as a nonprofit, but we have found no evidence that it has completed the verification required to collect donations directly through Facebook as an eligible charitable organization.
π© The page uses stolen rescue photos, altered videos, and AI-generated content to misrepresent animals and rescue efforts.
π© The PayPal donation link promoted by "Lucky Tails" uses the name "BarkBunch Buddies" rather than Lucky Tails. This is another discrepancy that raises serious questions about who is actually collecting these donations.

Anyone can describe their page as a nonprofit. That does not mean they are a registered charity, a verified 501(c)(3), or even an organization actually caring for animals.

1. REPORT THE FACEBOOK PAGE
Search for "Lucky Tails" and identify the page shown in our accompanying image. We will not share a direct link because we do not want to drive additional traffic to it.
Use Facebook's reporting tools to report the page for suspected fraud or scams.
2. REPORT THE PAYPAL DONATION ACCOUNT
The donation link being promoted by Lucky Tails directs people to a PayPal fundraiser under the name "BarkBunch Buddies."
We encourage you to report this account to PayPal for suspected fraudulent fundraising and misrepresentation of animal rescue activities.
