The Nac shelter staff actually do a GREAT job naming the animals who come through our doors — but we thought it would be fun to let NACogdoches get in on the action, too!

And we just want to say THANK YOU!

From hospital sheets to pet food, puppy pads, supplies, and countless volunteer hours , your kindness has NOT gone unnoticed. Our shelter babies are lucky to have a community that keeps showing up for them!

Now our tiniest residents have a few very important requests.

Our neonate kittens & puppies are tiny, adorable, and FULL of opinions. So if you’d like to help spoil them, we could use:

PPE — keeping those tiny babies safe from icky germs
Iams Kitten Food & Little Sheba Kitten Food — because apparently they're food critics

Cat & dog toys — for zoomies & general baby chaos

Small lap blankets/throws — cozy naps are mandatory

Metal cat cages/catios & puppy pens — for safe play, exploration & critical socialization

Every donation helps! Whether it’s one can, one blanket, or a whole pen, it helps us give these little ones the safe, happy start they deserve.

How are these ADORABLE puppies still waiting for a home?

Squash and her siblings are patiently waiting for daily belly rubs, playtime, learning new things, chasing balls, and soaking up all the love they can get!

Squash (F), Green bean (F), Collard (M), Collardy (F) with the cutest nub tail, and Turnip green (F) would love even a temporary home until they find their forever home.

At 4 months old they are the perfect age for soaking up basic training skills and would love to learn from you!

If you are interested in fostering or adopting one of these cuties please reach out to Paws4Nac or Nacogdoches Animal Services today! We’d love to send them to a cozy home for Labor Day weekend!

Meet This Sweet, Gentle Boy, Tw***ie
He’s a sweet, easygoing guy who likes to communicate with you using a hardly audible little meow. He is slow-moving, confident, and curious, and he absolutely loves to roll over for belly rubs!

He is easy to care for and enjoys a relaxed lifestyle where he can lounge and take things at his own pace.

He has had all his vaccinations, dewormed and had a negative f***l float done by a local vet and many thanks goes out the Humane Society of Nacogdoches County for their continued financial support for our foster kitties!

To help maintain good gut health, he is eating Hill’s Indoor Cat dry food. He loves his wet food in the morning and evening as his special treat. It's a couple table spoons Hill’s Sensitive Stomach wet along with a small amount of Friskies Shreds mushed up and mixed in well, because, of course, he has to approve his snack!

He would do best in a home where he can relax, lounge, and enjoy plenty of affection. He would probably do well coexisting with dogs as long as they are respectful of cats and show little to no interest in them.

If you’re looking for a gentle, confident companion with a quiet personality and a love for belly rubs, Tw***ie boy may be the perfect match! He is available NOW through Pets at Nacogdoches Animal Shelter

Allie has been at Pets at Nacogdoches Animal Shelter for 40 days and has been seriously overlooked. But today, at SFA Soccer, she showed everyone exactly what they have been missing.

Allie is sweet, calm, quiet, and friendly with every person and every dog she meets. She handled the crowd like a pro and soaked up every bit of attention and love.

At 7 years old, Allie deserves more than a kennel. Please consider fostering or adopting this wonderful girl and giving her a temporary home—or, even better, a forever home. ❤️

Meet Bella, Allie, Buddy, Ramona, Brinne, and Hunter—six highly adoptable pups who are patiently waiting for their forever homes!

Come out to the SFA soccer game tomorrow at 5:30 PM to cheer on the team, meet our shelter dogs, and show them some Nacogdoches love! 💜🐶

We can’t wait to see you at the pitch!
