Hank, FKA Honeycrisp from Pets at Nacogdoches Animal Shelter! Honeycrisp is the very first dog we sent to Take Me Home Dog Rescue, Inc and the precious partnership has helped so many more shelter dogs: Koda, Ellie, Lizard, Snake, Bex, Roxanne, Tank, and soon Clyde and Bunny! 🐰 We are very lucky to have Ms. Sharon and Take Me Home!

We got a nice update on Hank from his family. He was one of the sweetest dogs we've had in rescue, who came to us from Nacogdoches, Tx.

His family wrote:

INVESTING IN LEADERSHIP. BUILDING A STRONGER PAWS4NAC. CREATING A SAFER, MORE COMPASSIONATE COMMUNITY.

We are proud to share that the co-founders of Paws4NAC are attending a leadership course to strengthen our organization, expand our impact, and build a sustainable, successful animal welfare nonprofit dedicated to supporting the homeless pets at the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter.

We believe that making a lasting difference takes more than a passion for animals. It takes strong leadership, thoughtful planning, community involvement, and meaningful partnerships with local government and fellow animal welfare organizations.

But our mission reaches beyond the shelter walls. When we invest in animal welfare, we also invest in the health, safety, and well-being of our entire Nacogdoches community.

As the National Animal Care & Control Association emphasizes, animal welfare and public safety go hand in hand, and collaboration between animal services and the communities they serve can create better outcomes for both animals and people.

We are investing in leadership today because the future of animal welfare in Nacogdoches matters. Every step toward a stronger Paws4NAC is a step toward a brighter future for our shelter pets, our neighbors, and our entire community.

AND we love our youngest future CFO too💗

Bean or “green bean” had a GREAT day out on the town! She soaked up lots of attention at the farmers market

1. Learned to respect a stroller
2. Made some friends at the dog park
3-4. Played on the agility equipment with her foster “sister”
5-9. Soaked up all the love with her shelter buddy, Mama Harriet, and all the guests Fredonia Brewery 🍻

Bean is a rockstar in public. She received so many compliments on how calm she was for her age and wants to please you. Her coat is a beautiful brown/ almost black depending on the lighting.

Adoptable Green bean or “Bean” is a rockstar when it comes to learning how to leash walk, AND with the added challenge of walking next to a stroller!

This girl is highly trainable, LOVES people, and dogs.

Bean is safe in a foster home for now, but she is looking for her forever home. If you are interested in meeting bean, let us know and we can set up a meet and greet!
