Princess has a foster!
While we thought we were out of ideas and magic for Princess, two outstanding women stepped up to the plate for Princess! Thank you Ms. Shelley Cook for opening your heart and house to Princess! It gives us a few more weeks to reach out to local communities and rescue network for Princess! We also want to thank Ms. Laura Carr to provide a safety net for Princess to fall back on!
We cannot save Princess’s life without these two lovable women’s vulnerability and generosity! We are grateful for you!

Puffin’s stay with Meredith family will end tomorrow, because Puffin is going to a top notch rescue PAWS Shelter of Central Texas tomorrow morning!! We are so grateful for our foster families!

Foster Homes Needed for Dogs, Puppies, Cats and Kittens

You can help save lives by fostering a shelter pet. The shelter provides all supplies, food, and approved vet care—you provide a safe, loving place to stay.

Foster for 1 week, 2 weeks, or longer. Every animal in foster opens a kennel for the next animal in need.

Our shelter takes in about 15 animals each week from residents of Nacogdoches County—and that number does not include animals brought in by Animal Control Officers or local law enforcement.

Tandy was adopted! Thank you Brandi Randolph and kids for transporting Tandy to Dallas! Thank you Humane Society of Nacogdoches County for covering Tandy’s surgery cost so North Street Veterinary Clinic can fix her cherry eye!

Coconut hit a home run at the baseball game last night! ⚾🐾

Coconut joined Princess for an evening of community outreach and showed everyone exactly what a wonderful dog she is.

At five years old, Coconut is the perfect blend of playful and mature. She is spayed, potty trained, and gets along great with people, dogs, and cats. In other words, she’s ready to fit right into a loving home.
