This moment is one of pure pride for me as a parent and a dog lover. My 7-year-old son, Aiden, asked to join me in training his dog, Rhino, for the first time. Of course, I said yes!
At first, Rhino didn’t take him seriously—he would pull away, ignore commands, and only listen to me. I explained to Aiden that earning respect from a dog takes patience, consistency, and confidence. I gave him some simple directives, and within just 10 minutes, this is what happened!
If a 7-year-old can do it, anyone can. It’s not about age—it’s about effort and persistence. This is proof that with the right guidance and mindset, even a young trainer can make a connection with their dog.
