Adopt Luke! ❤️

Luke is between 5-7 years old. Weighing in at 35lbs. (He’s on a weight loss journey). Luke is a fun little guy with a medium energy level. He would love daily walks and then a good ‘ol snooze in the house. 🏠 He likes toys and attention from his people!

Luke requires an adult only home. He also does not enjoy the company of other animals. He’s an independent guy who prefers to be your one and only.

ADOPTION UPDATE: WAYLON JENNINGS & WILLIE NELSON! 🖤🤍

We absolutely LOVE getting updates from our adopted animals—and Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson’s story is one that reminds us what adoption is truly about.

These two boys found their forever family after being adopted from HSLC, and their family has shown them what it means to be loved through the hard times, not just the easy ones.

Willie was diagnosed with a lifelong medical condition and also had a few behavioral quirks that needed time, patience, and understanding. From the very beginning, his adopters were committed to him. They didn’t walk away when things became challenging. Instead, they learned what Willie needed, met him where he was, and continued to support him every step of the way.

They have embraced his medical needs, worked through his behavioral challenges, and—most importantly—continued to love him exactly as he is.

This is what a dedicated family can do for an animal in need.

Sometimes adoption isn't about bringing home the "perfect" dog. Sometimes it's about seeing the potential in an animal, understanding that there may be challenges ahead, and saying, "We'll figure it out together."

Waylon and Willie hit the jackpot with their family.

Thank you to their adopters for showing us the incredible difference patience, commitment, compassion, and unconditional love can make in an animal's life.

We couldn't be happier for these boys—and we are so grateful to be part of their journey.

Happy tails, Waylon & Willie!
