Some dogs are selective about who they like.

Opal has never heard of such a thing. 😂

To Opal, there is no such thing as a stranger—just friends she hasn't met yet.

Little kids? Instant friends.

Little dogs? Instant friends.

Big dogs? Instant friends.

Cats? Yep, friends too.

Everywhere she goes, Opal assumes everyone is there to love her, and honestly, she's usually right. With her striking blue eyes, goofy grin, and sweet personality, it's almost impossible not to fall for her.

This beautiful girl is house-trained, affectionate, and happiest when she's making new friends or soaking up attention from her people. She has a slight cherry eye that we'll be correcting with surgery, but don't worry—it's already being addressed and won't stop her from living her best life.

What Opal really needs now is the one thing we can't give her: a family of her very own.

We're hoping the right person sees this video, falls completely head over heels, and realizes they've been missing a little blue-eyed best friend all along.

💔 Welcome to the Misfit Ranch, Sloopy. 💔

At the shelter, his name was Bonzai.

When Bonzai arrived at the San Jacinto shelter as a stray, he was in absolutely heartbreaking condition. This little Shih Tzu appears to have gone without grooming for far too long, and the neglect has taken a devastating toll. His coat was severely matted, and foxtails were embedded throughout his fur, lodged in his skin, and even stuck in his eyes.

His condition was so severe that after serving his required stray hold, he was immediately placed on the shelter's red list. Without a rescue stepping forward, he was facing euthanasia because of the extent of his medical needs.

He is battling infection, and at this time he appears to be blind. We are desperately hoping that the damage is not permanent or complete, but we won't know the full extent of his injuries until he receives a full veterinary evaluation.

The moment we committed to him, we began making arrangements to get him the medical care he urgently needs. He is now officially a Misfit and has been given a new name: Sloopy. ❤️

A huge thank you goes to Susan Derrrow for stepping up to give Sloopy his freedom ride and for generously offering to help cover some of his medical expenses. Susan, we cannot thank you enough for your kindness and compassion.

Sloopy will be seeing our veterinarian right away so we can get him comfortable, begin treatment, and determine the extent of his injuries. We know his medical needs will be significant, and we are still working to raise funds for Sapphire's upcoming orthopedic surgery as well.

We also want to thank everyone who has reached out with tattoo artist recommendations for our upcoming fundraiser. We will be following up with those suggestions soon. It's been one of those whirlwind rescue days where everything seems to happen at once, but we wanted you all to know:

We’re reaching out to our amazing community because we need help helping Sapphire. 💔🐾

Many of you remember Sapphire — the sweet heeler mama who was cruelly thrown from a moving car while heavily pregnant. Despite everything she endured, she safely delivered and raised her puppies, healed from her spay surgery, and has continued to show us nothing but resilience and love.

Now that she’s finally had time to recover from motherhood, it’s time to address the serious injury she’s been living with: a damaged elbow from the trauma she suffered before we rescued her.

We’ve received an estimate for her surgery, and it’s expected to cost between $4,000–$5,000. We are absolutely committed to helping her, but that is a huge amount for our rescue to raise.

We would LOVE to organize a tattoo fundraiser for Sapphire, and we’re hoping some of our supporters may have connections with tattoo artists or shops who might be willing to partner with us for a fundraising event.

If you know a tattoo artist who may be interested, could you please reach out to them and ask if they’d be open to collaborating? If so, send us a message and we’d be so grateful to coordinate with them directly.

Sapphire deserved better than what happened to her. We want to give her the chance to finally live comfortably and pain-free. Thank you all for continuing to show up for the misfits. ❤️

A huge thank you to Bailey’s Old Town for welcoming us for Reginald’s Royal Happy Hour! 👑🐾

We had such a fun evening surrounded by amazing people, delicious food, and so much love for our sweet boy, Reggie. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us, we were able to raise funds that will go directly toward the care of our Misfits. Seeing so many people show up to love on Reginald and remind him how many people care about him now meant more than we can say. Watching his progress and recovery has been so incredibly special. ❤️

We also want to give a huge thank you to our donors, to the wonderful team at Bailey’s Old Town, and to our fabulous foster and volunteer, Jac, for hand-making the absolute cutest donation jar for Reggie’s Royal Treat Fund. No more trash and rocks for this king. 👑

Prince takes his role as President of the Neighborhood Watch Association very seriously. 🐾😂

Every day, he proudly climbs up on the slope to monitor the walkers, bikers, and all the neighborhood happenings like the sweet little busybody he is.

But in typical pittie boy fashion, he’s built like a professional weight lifter… and then immediately runs to mommy if a big scary leaf falls from a tree too close to him. 😂🍂

The truth is, Prince is a little puppy at heart. His foster mama is his safe place, and his favorite thing in the world is curling up next to her like a “widdle baby” for snuggles. 🖤

He’s a happy boy who’s learning to relax and enjoy life more every day. Prince is house trained, wonderful with kids, and does great with other animals after proper introductions. He rides great in the car, and he has good recall. He loves hikes and adventures, but also loves to snuggle and relax. He's the perfect mix.
