I have completed the photos for MOTC's Rally trial today (July 24th). There is currently an EARLY BIRD special on pricing. August 7th pricing will go back to normal, and there will be no more sales. The gallery will go offline August 31st.

I was asked to use silent shutter, I want to show and explain why that is not an option for most events.

The Silent Shutter mode causes:
• Horizontal banding (dark or light lines) caused by LED or fluorescent lights flickering faster than our eyes can see.
• Uneven exposure where different parts of the image appear brighter or darker because the sensor scans the scene from top to bottom instead of capturing it all at once.
• Rolling shutter distortion where fast-moving dogs can appear slightly stretched, compressed, or skewed, especially during quick turns or jumps.
• Reduced reliability under artificial lighting, resulting in inconsistent images from one frame to the next, even when camera settings don't change.
• Potential color shifts under some LED lighting, where different parts of the image may have slightly different color temperatures.

My goal is to provide the best photos possible for events, and silent shutter does not allow that. The shutter noise you hear is not just a noise, it helps me provide high quality images for my clients. I will always respect a venue's rules, and that is why I am no longer accepting events that request silent shutter to be used.

The image shown is an unprocessed image with silent shutter enabled. Noticed the banding, uneven exposure, unusual color shifts, and the compression that is enhancing the noise (grain).

I will be at OG Pablo's South Regional Championship October 3rd & 4th.

I will be offering pictures all weekend of the trial, and if anyone would like trophy/plaque/win pictures I will be available for that at the end of the day! Ive included a picture I did of my dog after she titled in NASDA for reference of what those can look like. Each of the win pictures will be $30.
