Rainy Saturday morning cuddles …

Nugget is still looking for his forever family … which, quite frankly, I cannot understand.

Let’s recap:
• about 9 months old
• 50-ish lbs and not likely to get much bigger
• UTD on vax
• neutered
• crate trained & house trained
• good on a leash (with harness)
• highly food/treat motivated, easily redirected
• good with dogs and kids, cats unknown but I wouldn’t think they would be an issue for him (a cat may not appreciate his enthusiasm for life but a few well-aimed swats should put him in his place)
• high energy, would be great agility dog or an excellent hiking/adventure buddy
• meets zero strangers
• sweet, goofy personality
• just about perfect

Nugget had so much fun on his puppy sleepover and was the perfect guest but … unfortunately, due to an allergy, it will not be his forever home. Sighhh …

So - we need everyone … I mean EVERYONE … who sees this post to share it, please!

1000+ views on his profile and nada … not a single application.

This is the plight of too many beautiful, wonderful animals. There are not enough homes and the rising costs of vet care are making that number shrink even more. Yet, people will still go to irresponsible breeders and pay exorbitant prices (money that could, quite literally, save hundreds of desperate dogs) for their designer mutts. When did bragging about how ignorant you are become a thing?

I will step off my soapbox now … but something has to give, y’all. We need more people to be part of a solution rather than people perpetuating the problem.

Be better. Do better. Be the solution.
