Wonderful news for my girls!

GCHB Blueprint Raspberry Beret MS, TKN CHIC (I know I'm missing some rear end titles)

and

Blueprint The Storyteller MS Co owned with Claire who I am quoting below from her update!!!!

"BIG weekend of adventures for the ladies! Friday we had an Urban Ratting game night. Then, Saturday we had a dachshund field trial practice with the Hoosier Dachshund Club 🐰 We got to learn more about what all it involves and then got to play a bit in the bunny fields despite the blazing heat! So thankful to everyone near and far who helped us out.
Then, a spur of the moment NASDA workshop and trial with Sniffington’s. Berry got Q’s in Shed dog(🦌), Trailing and Locating (🐀), Lost Item (my “lost” items). Then, she got enough Q’s and a high in trial to get her title in level 1 Urban Locating (more 🐀)!
Kiwi got to play too, getting passes in all of her Puppy Aptitude Tests in Trailing and Locating, Lost Item, Urban Locating, and Shed Dog! In her Shed test, the antler was as big as she was, and she tried to drag it away with her 😂
So much fun, but now they’re ready for some much deserved naps. Thanks to everyone who helped make these events possible!"

Want to know how to stop separation anxiety before it ever even starts?

Stop touching your dog. Simple.

However, it's not so simple of a task to a majority of folks who bring home a new puppy.

I send home a list a things to have ready for every single puppy. I wonder most times, how many have actually taken the time to read the information. Even months later.

The best way that MY puppies adjust to your new home, is my having an xpen. Utilize it. Nap times, when you know the puppy is tired. I know everyone wants to touch their new puppy every single second and moment like you'll never be able to touch it again if you don't touch him/her right now. But, stop. The puppy needs to know they can be away from you and safe, comfortable, and happy.

The puppies come pre programmed to already know this.

Certainly, there are the few puppies who try to manipulate the fact that the will absolutely die if you don't pick them up, but you're causing more harm than good sometimes.

There's too much and many different scenarios when there is a time to go ahead and take that puppy out, but in general, people touch their puppies way too much and create the very thing they express they want to avoid before ever bringing that puppy home.

CHF-funded researcher Dr. Adler Dillman at UC Riverside is studying canine liver flukes, a freshwater-linked parasite that can cause serious illness in dogs. His team is working across the western United States to better understand where the parasite may be present and how common exposure may be.

If you've got the safe space to do it, put your Dachshund on a 20ft line or so. Let that poor dog use it's nose, which is such a natural thing it wants do. It will increase your dogs confidence. Allow that part of his/brain to be activated and let them enrich themselves. 💯
