Did you know dog groomers are….

💅 Nail techs — except our clients bite when they don’t like their pedicure.

✂️ Hair stylists — and somehow “just a little off” can mean 15 different things.

🪥 Dental assistants — brushing teeth while someone actively tries to eat the toothbrush.

💩 P**p & p*e cleanup crew — because apparently the grooming table is also a bathroom.

🧸 Human chew toys — self explanatory.

👃 Butt gland technicians — glamorous, I know.

🍑 Private-area hairstylists — “Sir… PLEASE stop sitting down while I’m trying to trim your balls.” 😂

🤼 WWE wrestlers — especially during nail trims.

🕵️ Flea detectives — “Ma’am… those little black dots are not dirt.” 😭

🧠 Therapists — “It’s okay, buddy. The dryer is NOT trying to kill you.”

We get p*ed on, pooped on, kicked, licked, screamed at, covered in hair, and occasionally have to negotiate with a Chihuahua like we’re in a hostage situation.

Then we hand your dog back looking cute, fabulous, and completely innocent like they didn’t just commit 14 felonies in two hours.🙄

Sharing this for the simple fact of now feeling the need to defend myself before this entitled person continues trying to tarnish my name as a groomer. As well as to show the craziness we put up with working in a corporate salon on a very regular basis, and it is simply unacceptable.

Here is a case of someone not getting their way and choosing to show me disrespect.. only to find out that I am not in fact a doormat and will immediately stop being your groomer. This post from this client has very little truth to it as well as the story being stretched in ways to make her seem like a victim.

As a groomer, I work with live animals who have bad days just like humans. Sometimes their grooms take longer than normal. Then think about if every single client the whole day was struggling. Every single groom takes longer than normal. Then think about not taking a lunch. Not taking a break. Not even stopping to use the restroom the entire day. That was this day for me. I just keep going 1 dog at a time and do my best. All of this though, was not good enough for this client. She didn’t care and showed zero compassion or understanding.. and then was rude and disrespectful to me. I am not magic and cannot make more time appear in a day. I did not refuse her service until she was using foul language and being disrespectful. Simple as that. She just didn’t get her way.

I am a human being. I make mistakes. I am not perfect but I try my best and have always put my clients first to the best of my ability.. even at the sake of my own personal/family time. I have never disrespected a client or “yelled at a client” .. Have I stood up for myself and asked them to leave? Yes. Have I had to tell people they are no longer my clients? Yes.
I refuse to be treated like garbage and I don’t wish to even have people as clients that do not see my value, as a groomer or as a human for that matter.

I understand that my work and reputation can speak for itself, but it sadly can also be damaged by 1 lying unsatisfied person. I have worked very hard for years to build what I have and can only hope everyone who will see this post will stop and think that the story may not all be there before reacting to it.

This situation was extremely upsetting and frustrating and had me in tears.
I beg everyone who takes their fur baby to a groomer to show them not only respect but compassion and patience.

My first all-over creative dye! (All products used were Opawz pet safe dye)

Meet Lola 🐾💕
This sweet girl got a huge makeover from nose 2 toes! Her family was thrilled beyond belief when coming to pick her up.

I’m interested to see who all else would do something fun like this?? I understand it may not be everyone’s cup of tea.. but those who are interested, let me know! The possibilities are endless!

PSA 🚨

Do you need a last minute grooming appointment!? 🐾✂️
If so shoot me a message! I am offering a 50% off groom for this morning due to a huge no-show! I would need you here at the salon tho fairly soon if possible!

If you book me online for a time slot that takes up 4 HOURS of my day, and then call the store the night before to cancel due to the fact you have not even taken the dog to get a new rabies shot, you will not be serviced from me again.
(Also keep in mind, this client had a 9am appointment, meaning I have ZERO time to fill this spot now) Also this person booked this appointment online themselves weeks ago!!

Not only does this waste my time but for groomers who get paid commission rather than hourly pay, this means we are sitting here making ZERO dollars!

Please be kind to those providing services to you!

‼️‼️‼️Wanted to take a moment and make something very clear.

I will not stand for someone to disrespect me, my time, or my fellow salon girls. Period.
You will be asked to leave immediately, pay for whatever services that have already been provided (even if your dog is currently half done), and not be welcome back.

It is sad to even feel the need to say this, but due to the amount of times this has happened as of late is crazy.

So please remember to be kind to those who provide services to you.
Please remember that we work with live animals and can’t always make promises or guarantees about your appointments.
And most importantly please remember we are people just like you who are not perfect and deserve respect.

HUGE thank you to all my regular clients who have always been there 💕 Love y’all!
