This beautiful girl is in MO, unfortunately the MO rescue cannot help her, so they sent her our way. We have also been sent dogs from OH, TX, and CA so far this week. Sadly, we cannot take them - we are 100% foster based, and all our foster homes are currently full. (foster application can be found on our website, www.iamra.org for anyone interested). What we CAN do, is spay/neuter dogs outside our area (our service area is IL & WI) to help stem the flow of dogs into other rescues. So please donate to our S/N effort, so we can continue to help other rescues and dogs outside of IAMRA's reach.

Many (more!) thanks to all who are donating towards our spay/neuter project! I have seen a couple of posts, just today, from malamute and husky rescues, that they are FULL and need more funding to take in more dogs. This is exactly what we are trying to prevent! Spaying a mama dog now, means rescue does not have to take in 6 or 8 or 10 (or more!) dogs down the line. Just like the old saying - an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! We are fixing dogs in high risk areas such as MO, TX, etc where many of these dogs are flooding into other rescues. So help us help stem the flow...it helps the overpopulation problem and helps the other rescues that are drowning in dogs too, a real win-win! (Pic for tax of our handsome HW positive boy, Ranger, who just got his own neuter last week!) IAMRA PAYPAL: [email protected]

This is why we need to keep chipping away at the overpopulation problem with more spay and neuter! Thanks to all who are helping with our outreach. https://www.fox2detroit.com/news/36-dogs-lansing-found-living-van-owner?link_source=ta_first_comment&taid=6a11c8138e3e8d0001ad14bc&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwY2xjawR-yyZleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFuZ3dQT2ZaQktzcUViV3VZc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHtuv2fxDUdBNu01xDg8wfb6uItGz4xgvcEeLURWRl5f7w_K9e8TDVdVvMt99_aem_Ed4jbZ2N88o86wv_0K3iuQ

Dozens of dogs were found living in a van with their owner. From puppies to pregnant dogs, they were all packed inside. Meanwhile, a rescue group stepped in just in time, but there’s still more work to do.
