🧡 Our Ofrenda Is Ready for Your Memories 🕯️

Last week, we shared our plans to create a special space at RVA to honor the beloved animals who are no longer with us.

Today, we're happy to share that our ofrenda is officially up. ❤️

We've started filling it with photographs of some very special faces who have left lasting impressions on our hearts. And while it may look a little empty right now, we're hoping our RVA families will help us fill it with love, memories, and familiar faces.

If you'd like to include a pet you've lost, we welcome you to send us a photograph or drop one off at the hospital. We'd be honored to give them a place among ours.

Whether they left us recently or many years ago, whether they had paws, hooves, wings, or scales, there is a place for them here.

They may no longer be by our sides, but they'll always have a place in our hearts.

🧡 This has been a particularly heavy year for our RVA family. Between our staff and our clients, we've said goodbye to far too many beloved companions. And while loss is an inevitable part of loving animals, that doesn't make those goodbyes any easier.

This year, in honor of Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead), we will be creating an ofrenda here at Rancocas Veterinary Associates.

An ofrenda is a traditional Mexican altar created to remember and celebrate loved ones who have passed. Rather than focusing solely on the sadness of their absence, it's an opportunity to celebrate the lives they lived, the love they gave, and the memories they left behind.

We would love to invite our clients to be part of ours. ❤️

If you've lost a beloved pet, whether this year or many years ago, we welcome you to share their memory with us. You can send us a photograph ([email protected]) or drop one off at the hospital, and we'll proudly include them on our ofrenda alongside the pets our own staff members are remembering.

Our ofrenda will be on display this Monday October 12th through November 2nd, and we welcome you to stop by, spend a moment remembering, and see the many wonderful lives that have touched our RVA family. You don't need to contribute a photograph to visit. Everyone is welcome.

They were never just pets. They were family, best friends, constant companions, and sometimes the reason we got out of bed on our hardest days.

And although we couldn't keep them forever, we can make sure they're remembered.

With love,
Your RVA Family 🧡

Congratulations to our own Dr. McGuigan!!

Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Louis McGuigan to the Cedar Run Board of Trustees!
Many of the animals who come through our doors have already benefited from Dr. McGuigan's care. As a veterinarian at Rancocas Veterinary Associates in Mount Laurel, he provides treatment to wildlife in Cedar Run's care, and now he's bringing that same dedication to our Board of Trustees.
A Haddonfield native and Rutgers graduate, Dr. McGuigan earned his veterinary degree with distinction from the Royal School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland. His work has taken him through farm, small animal, and wildlife practice in Scotland, England, France, and the U.S. Dr. McGuigan currently represents his peers in the AVMA House of Delegates.
We're grateful to have his clinical expertise, global perspective, and passion for wildlife medicine guiding Cedar Run's mission right here in his home community. Welcome, Dr. McGuigan!

So happy to be apart of this event for another year!

Welcome returning sponsor Rancocas Veterinary Associates as a Champion sponsor for this year’s Paw Prints Pet Fest & 5K! They are a long-time respected vet office in our community and we are grateful for their support! Fun fact, our Hissy Hut adoption center was their former location in Mt. Holly.
