Rainy days don't stop Isaiah from finding his own fun. 🧸🐾

Since the weather kept everyone indoors a few days last week, Isaiah spent some time in the play room enjoying a collection of stuffy toys, and judging by these photos, he approved of the arrangement. 😄

Isaiah has been waiting at the shelter since last fall, but he's still making the best of each day while he waits for a family of his own.

He's a friendly, laid-back guy who enjoys exploring, going for walks, and apparently conducting important quality-control inspections on stuffed animals.

When Hamlet arrived at the shelter, one thing became clear pretty quickly: people noticed him. 🐾💙

Comment after comment talked about how handsome he is, and honestly, we can see why. That shiny black coat, those expressive eyes, and that classic "good dog" look are hard to miss.

Hamlet is still a fairly new arrival, so the shelter staff is learning more about him every day. In the meantime, we'd love to help him get on someone's radar before he becomes just another dog waiting in a kennel.

Dumpling's idea of a good day is refreshingly simple. 💛🐾

A comfortable place to rest. A leisurely walk. A person she loves nearby.

That's it. No drama. No chaos. No need to be the center of attention.

This sweet senior girl is looking for a home where she can enjoy the quieter side of life. Shelter life can be a little overwhelming for her, but even so, she continues to be gentle, loving, and eager to please.

Looking through these photos, it's easy to picture Dumpling exactly where she belongs: stretched out on a couch, keeping someone company, and finally enjoying the comfort and stability she deserves.

Some dogs make friends wherever they go. 💕🐾

Cinnamon is one of those dogs.

At just 2 years old, she's affectionate, friendly, and happiest when she's getting attention from her people. Give her a few scratches and she'll happily melt right into you.

Cinnamon gets along well with other dogs and is currently in the Prison Training Program, where she's continuing to work on her skills while she waits for a family of her own.

Looking at that sweet face, it's hard to believe she's still waiting. 💖

Seriously. Those things look like they can pick up radio stations.

Atticus is a fun, friendly guy with plenty of energy and an enthusiasm for life that's hard to miss. Whether he's exploring, making new friends, or just looking for his next adventure, he approaches everything with a happy spirit and a big smile.

He's been waiting at the shelter since last fall, and we'd really love to see him get the chance to start his next chapter with a family of his own. 💙

Roger would like to speak to management. 🐾😐

Specifically, management needs to know that:
• he deserves more treats
• he deserves more belly rubs
• he deserves a couch
• and he deserves someone telling him he's handsome at least 47 times a day

Despite his serious expression, Roger is an incredibly sweet boy who loves people and enjoys soaking up attention. He's ready to trade shelter life for a warm bed, a loving family, and a permanent position as someone's loyal best friend.

We have a feeling that underneath that distinguished face is a dog with a pretty big heart. 💙

Some dogs are looking for adventure.

Sugar Bear is looking for a comfy couch, a tennis ball, and someone to love. 💛🐾

Her prison program handler describes her as having nearly perfect house manners, excellent obedience, and a gentle personality with both people and dogs. If things get too rowdy, Sugar Bear simply removes herself from the drama. Honestly, we should all be taking notes. 😄

She loves to learn, loves to play fetch, and is apparently a world-class cuddler when the day is done.

At around 4 years old, Sugar Bear has already mastered one of life's most important skills: being a really good companion.

Sugar Bear is currently in the Prison Training Program and will remain there until adopted. Please contact the shelter for information about meeting her.

It's time for Adoptable Board updates for June! Our volunteers have been out and about updating the boards at area businesses for June (we'll have another post about that later). If you want an overall view of the dogs available at the shelter currently, this is it. Some are pending adoption (or rescue), so if you're interested in a particular dog it's always advisable to call the shelter first! Please share and help these dogs find a home!

Katie seems pretty content with the simple things in life. 💛🐾
