As we celebrate National Vet Tech Week, we're shining a spotlight on Lee and Ann, our incredible Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs), who elevate our team's impact with their exceptional skills. To earn the RVT designation in North Carolina, one must complete a rigorous 2-year or 4-year veterinary medical technology program accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association, pass the Veterinary Technician National Examination, and pass the North Carolina Veterinary Technician State Exam. This remarkable achievement is a testament to their dedication and expertise, inspiring us to strive for excellence in everything we do! 💫

We will be closing today at 2pm to celebrate Tech Week with our entire team. 🎉 Please join us in celebrating our whole Healthy Petz team this week and help us give a special shoutout to Lee and Ann for all their hard work and compassion! 💕

When it comes to flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, we’ve got options for everyone! Whether your pet prefers a monthly chew, a topical, or a long-lasting injection, we have something that can fit their needs. 🐾

Our prevention options include:
🦟 NexGard Combo

Today, we celebrate National Feral Cat Day with hope, determination and a collective commitment to action! 🎉

Dr. Bucy's barn is home to only two remaining adorable feral kittens, thanks to the successful Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Release (TNVR) program that gave their mother a second change. This success story underscores the urgent need to tackle feral cat colonies head-on, as they can grow exponentially in just months. But with TNVR, we can ensure these precious lives thrive in their natural habitat, with access to food, water, and shelter. Relocation should only be considered when their lives are in imminent danger. If you're a feral cat champion in your community, we're here to equip you with the expertise and support you need to make a lasting impact! 🐾

These cuties are looking for permanent homes through , where we are confident they'll blossom with a friendly feline companion to guide them. 💕

Dr. Sanderson hates to see the camera coming for her 📷🤳 but puppy cuddles are her Kryptonite! Was the slobbery smooch worth the awkward photo op? 😂 Absolutely!

Sweet Indy came to see us recently, and it was clear from the moment she arrived that our beautiful Cane Corso girl was feeling very poorly. 💕🐾

We spent the day with Indy running diagnostics to try to figure out what was going on. We discovered that she was extremely anemic and, even more concerning, appeared to have a mass in her abdomen.

Her mom didn’t hesitate to get her the care she needed and rushed her over to our friends at , where their team got Indy right into surgery. ❤️

While operating, they found the mass we saw on xray was actually multiple large abscesses in her abdomen. Indy had been one very sick girl, and we are incredibly grateful to the SAVES team for the quick action and amazing care they gave her.

And the best part? Indy is back home with her family and feeling SO much better! We’re so thankful we got to be part of Indy’s care and even more thankful to see this sweet girl on the road to recovery. 🥹

Meet Winston. 👀🐾 He may be a little spicy, but he’s also a pretty interesting little guy!

Winston came in for his annual exam, and Dr. Sanderson noticed something unusual in his left eye. Winston has cataracts in both eyes, and his left eye also has a condition called phacodonesis — which means the lens inside the eye is unstable.

If you watch the video closely as Winston moves his head, you can actually see the lens shifting inside his eye. 👀 Pretty fascinating, right?

And yes… Winston is wearing a muzzle. 😂🌶️ Winston is a very spicy little guy both at home and at the vet, so we use a muzzle during his visits to help keep everyone safe and make sure he can receive the care he needs with as little stress as possible.

Because even the spiciest little guys deserve the very best veterinary care. ❤️🐶

Keep being you, Winston. 🌶️💕
