🌸 Meet Molly! 🌸

It's hard to believe that a dog as wonderful as Molly was never claimed.

This beautiful girl came to us as a stray from Birchardville after spending who knows how long fending for herself. When she arrived, she was battling a severe urinary tract infection and carried the scars of life on the road. Despite everything she'd been through, Molly never stopped smiling.

Today, she's healthy, happy, and ready for the next chapter of her life.

Estimated to be between 1 and 2 years old, Molly has been spayed, brought up to date on all of her vaccines, microchipped, and is completely housebroken. She's the kind of dog who wakes up every day excited for whatever adventure comes next.

Molly is full of life, love, and energy. She would thrive in an active, structured home that can keep both her body and mind busy. Whether it's hiking, long walks, playing fetch, or simply being your sidekick, Molly is happiest when she's spending time with her people.

She has done well around children, though because of her enthusiastic personality, we believe she'd be the best match for a family with older kids who won't be knocked over by her excitement. While we haven't officially dog tested her yet, Molly has shown signs that she'd enjoy having a canine playmate. We would also be happy to dog or cat test her for the right potential family.

After surviving life on her own, Molly deserves more than just a second chance—she deserves a lifetime of love, adventure, and a family that will never let her wonder where she belongs again.

Garfield has officially found his forever home!

As the last of his group still waiting, we're thrilled to share that every one of them has now found a family of their own. It may have taken a little longer for Garfield's turn, but it was worth the wait.

Now this sweet boy gets to leave shelter life behind and finally experience the safety, comfort, and unconditional love of a home. No more waiting, no more wondering—just a family to call his own and a future full of love.

Everyone Re*****on has ever known is gone.

When Re*****on first arrived at True Friends alongside Kimber, they faced the unknown together. Kimber gave birth to seven beautiful puppies, and one by one, each of them found loving homes. Then it was Kimber's turn.

Now Re*****on is alone.

Since watching his entire family leave, we've seen him continue to decline. The shelter is loud, unpredictable, and overwhelming for a dog like him. Every day without a family of his own chips away at the confident, loyal dog we know is still in there.

Re*****on isn't the kind of dog who will instantly trust every stranger—and that's okay. Like many dogs of his breed, he takes his time deciding who his people are. But once you've earned that trust, you've earned it for life.

His loyalty runs deep.

He'll be the dog who watches over his family, stays by your side, and loves with his whole heart. The bond you build with Re*****on won't happen overnight, but it will be one of the strongest you'll ever experience.

🐾 Atlas: One Month Home Update 🐾

It’s hard to believe Atlas has officially been home for a month after spending 953 days in the shelter.

Watching him settle into home life has been incredible. Every week he becomes more confident, more relaxed, and more himself.

Atlas is now off-leash trained and has earned that freedom. He absolutely loves running on his slat mill, swimming, exploring the trails, and playing fetch and tug.

He has now met most of his new pack as well as a few client dogs, and he has done incredibly well. He’s also proven to be completely trustworthy around all of the farm animals. he has been respectful of everyone from the goats to the birds.

He has turned into such a happy, well-adjusted dog. He has learned to settle and relax, and truly seems to understand that this is home.

Atlas is living proof that long-term shelter dogs are not broken.

One month down. A lifetime to go. ❤️

From fighting for her life to finding a family of her very own... what a beautiful journey it's been.

When Peaches and her six siblings arrived at True Friends, they were tiny, sick, and uncertain if they would survive. They had every reason to give up—but this little fighter never did.

Today, we're thrilled to announce that Peaches has officially found her forever home! ❤️

Watching these puppies leave for loving families is exactly why we do what we do. Knowing Peaches will grow up surrounded by love, comfort, and security is the happy ending we've been hoping for since the day she arrived.

Congratulations, sweet girl. We can't wait to watch you discover everything a puppy deserves—soft beds, endless toys, belly rubs, and a family that will love you for the rest of your life.

💔🐾 GIBSON SURVIVED TWO WEEKS ALONE. NOW HE’S FINALLY SAFE & READY FOR FOREVER . 🐾❤️

Gibson was seen being dumped in the parking lot of Outdoor Insiders, just off I-81 at the Gibson exit. In a twist of fate, our director’s husband and son witnessed it.

They spent hours trying to coax him to safety, but Gibson was completely terrified and too afraid to let anyone near him.

For two weeks, he survived on his own.
Finally, hunger drove him onto someone’s porch in search of food—and that moment led him to us.

Gibson is now safe at True Friends and has quickly become a staff favorite. Despite his scars, severely mutilated ears, and significant hearing difficulties—injuries that make us fear he may have been used as a bait dog—he is incredibly sweet.

After everything he has endured, he still wants affection. He still wants to trust. He still wants to be loved.

This sweet, easygoing guy is:

💛 Kipper Deserves Comfort in His

Kipper’s story is heartbreaking. He was living beneath a bridge with his owner when the only person he had passed away. Now this resilient little senior is at True Friends, patiently waiting for someone to show him that his hardest days are behind him.
We may not know Kipper’s exact age, but we do know he is one tough, spunky little guy! He has an easygoing personality, seems to get along with everyone, and continues to make us smile with his funny, playful spirit.

What Kipper needs most right now is a foster home as soon as possible—a quiet, loving place where he can rest comfortably, feel safe, and enjoy every precious moment of his golden years. After all the hardships he has endured, he deserves warm beds, gentle hands, good meals, and the security of knowing he is no longer alone.

🐾❤️ Meet Shiloh ❤️🐾

Somehow, sweet Shiloh found himself wandering alone as a stray, and like so many dogs lately, no one ever came looking for him. While we may never understand how such a wonderful dog was left behind, we're determined to make sure his next chapter is filled with the love he deserves.

Shiloh is a classic Beagle through and through! We estimate he's around 6–7 years old, with a gentle soul, a curious nose, and the sweetest personality you could ask for. His favorite place in the world? Curled up in your arms, soaking up all the love and reassurance he can get. He simply wants to feel safe and be someone's best friend.

Shiloh is scheduled to be neutered and will be up to date on his vaccines, microchipped, and ready for his forever family. We're working on his manners, and he's proving to be an eager student. He doesn't seem to mind dogs or children and has shown curiosity toward cats, though he has not been formally cat-tested. We'd be happy to complete additional testing for his prospective family.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily join you for leisurely walks, long naps, and plenty of cuddles, Shiloh may be the missing piece of your family.

💙🐾 JAKE IS READY FOR THE LIFE HE’S ALWAYS DESERVED 🐾💙

At just 1 year old, Jake found himself on a euthanasia list in another shelter simply for being a “long-term resident.”

We refused to let his story end there—and every day since, Jake has shown us exactly why he was worth saving.

Everyone who meets Jake loves him. He is happy, goofy, affectionate, and full of irresistible puppy energy. His tail never stops wagging, his toys are his greatest treasures, and he approaches every day like it is the best day ever.

Jake loves other dogs and enjoys energetic, rough-and-tumble play, so he needs canine friends who appreciate his enthusiastic style. He is looking for an active family where he can run, play, and finally feel at home.

He is food motivated, eager to learn, and bonds deeply with his people. Beneath all that playful energy is a sweet boy who simply wants a family of his own.

There is an entire "Team Jake" cheering him on—and hoping and praying every day that he finally gets the chance he has come so far for.

We saved Jake’s life. Now we need someone to help him truly begin it.
