September is Animal Pain Awareness Month, a reminder that pets don’t always show pain the way we expect.
🐱 Cats, in particular, are experts at hiding discomfort. Because of their survival instincts, they may continue eating, moving, and acting “normal” even when they’re dealing with arthritis, dental disease, injury, or other chronic pain. Subtle signs like reduced grooming, hiding more often, changes in appetite, or less jumping can be easy to miss.
That’s why routine checkups and paying attention to small behavior changes are so important. Early detection means earlier treatment, and a more comfortable, happier life for your pet.
If something feels “off,” trust your instincts and get it checked. 💙
