When you train with Kerr K9 Academy, you’re not just signing up for training—you’re becoming part of our Pack! 🐶❤️

One of the perks of being a Kerr K9 client is that we only board dogs who have trained with us. Why? Because we want to know your dog, understand their training, and know exactly what they’re capable of before they stay with us.

And when your dog boards with us, they’re not just sitting in a kennel all day. 🚫🐕‍🦺

They become part of the family! ❤️

While they’re here, we continue working with them just like we would with a new training dog. We reinforce the skills they’ve learned, give them opportunities to practice good behavior, and continue building on their training.

They get to enjoy the privileges they’ve earned through training—because good behavior deserves freedom! 🐾

🎶 “U Can’t Touch This” — MC Hammer 😂🐾

When another dog unexpectedly comes walking up, Maverick shows us exactly what impulse control looks like. 👏🏼🔥

Instead of reacting, Maverick stayed focused, composed, and under control. THAT is the kind of real-world training we love to see! 💪🏼🐕

⚠️ A quick Kerr K9 reminder: We do NOT condone allowing another dog to approach your dog unannounced. You never know how either dog will react, and responsible owners should always respect space and boundaries.

For Maverick’s training exercise, however, we intentionally did not intervene. This was a controlled opportunity to work on his ability to remain calm and make good choices when another dog entered his space unexpectedly.
