Before summer slips away, give your pup one last nose-to-tail check. 🤎

After hot walks, backyard adventures, swimming, and muddy paws, take a few minutes to look for:

🐾 Cracks, cuts, or irritation on the paws
🌿 Grass, burrs, or debris between the toes
🕷️ Ticks around the ears, neck, and body
👂 Redness or trapped moisture in the ears
💦 Irritation from chlorine, pond water, or other summer fun
🪮 Tangles or buildup in the summer coat

A little TLC now can help keep your best fur friend comfortable, healthy, and ready for cooler days ahead. 🍂🐶

Louisiana backyards are full of fun for our pups—and a few unwanted guests, too. 🦟🕷️🐜

After outdoor play, take a minute to check your dog from nose to tail for bites, ticks, irritation, or swelling.

Keep an eye out for:
• Mosquito bites
• Fleas
• Ticks
• Fire ants and other stinging insects

⚠️ Facial swelling, trouble breathing, collapse, or any severe reaction? Call your vet immediately.

A quick check after backyard time can make a big difference. 💚

Louisiana still has plenty of hot days left—cool your pup down with these easy frozen treats! 💦

🍉 Watermelon Cubes: Remove rind and seeds, cut into bite-size pieces, and freeze.

🫐 Blueberry Yogurt Dots: Blend or mix blueberries with plain, unsweetened yogurt, portion into molds or parchment dots, and freeze.

🥒 Cucumber Coins: Wash, slice, and freeze.

🍌🎃 Banana Pumpkin Pops: Mash banana with plain 100% pumpkin—not pie filling—portion, and freeze.

❄️ Serve size-appropriate portions in moderation.

⚠️ Yogurt Safety: Use plain, unsweetened yogurt with no artificial sweeteners. Check the label to ensure it contains NO xylitol. Start small because some dogs don’t tolerate dairy.

Perfect after walks, playtime, or a warm Louisiana afternoon. ☀️🐶
