Today was absolutely AMAZING and honestly, a little eye opening for me too.
Today I groomed more dogs than I ever have in a single day!
While I was away on my church retreat, I received more appointment requests than I ever have before. But then again, since starting Pawllie’s, I’ve hardly ever taken a real break especially over a weekend. When I came back, I wanted to get everyone taken care of ASAP, so I booked as many of you as I possibly could and gave today everything I had.
Was today perfect? Absolutely not. 😂🫣🫣
One client came to pick up her baby before I was able to get to her and chose not to reschedule. And to be completely fair to her, today took me MUCH longer than I ever anticipated. 😬🫠
I also had an unfortunate interaction with a new client who was disrespectful toward me, and I made the decision that Pawllie’s would no longer be the right fit for them.
But those situations also made me realize something:
98% of my clients today were patient, kind, understanding and encouraging. 🥹
You understood that I had just returned from a long break, had an unusually packed schedule, and was doing everything I possibly could.
Pawllie’s is truly a one-woman show.
Sometimes I have a little help, but at the end of the day, it’s me. I’m the groomer, scheduler, receptionist, customer service department, operations manager, payment processor, cleaner, supply shopper and everything else that comes with running this little business. 😂
And I am human.
Sometimes a groom may take longer than expected. Sometimes a day may not go according to schedule. And yes, there have been a very small number of times when a client wasn’t completely happy with something I did.
But if you communicate with me and give me the opportunity, I will always do my best to make it right.
So tonight, more than anything, I just want to say THANK YOU.
Thank you to the clients who communicate with me. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for trusting me with your babies. Thank you for understanding that there is a human being behind this business who is genuinely trying her best.
Today wasn’t perfect but Pawllie’s had its biggest grooming day yet, and I’m pretty darn proud of that. 🖤🐾
