Meet Reese! Reese is one year old and the sweetest fellow. He is incredibly affectionate, constantly rubbing your legs for attention or rubbing his face on your face. Reece is very submissive to other cats and should get along with really any cat housemate! He came to the shelter with Gerry and Elliot. He has never seen a dog but he is agreeable enough that he would likely acclimate well to a dog friend given the proper slow introduction. Reece has never been around small children and would likely be a bit intimidated at first but is gentle and may do well with pet-savvy children.

Update Adopted

Meet Ted!

This handsome guy turned four years old this month. He LOVES to be pet and held. He previously lived with another cat, a small dog and young children and should do well in almost any household with the proper slow introductions. He does gets some tear stains as you can see in the pics. He didn’t mind me using eye wipes to clean them every few days.

While the shelter can be a scary place this guy has been taking it in stride. Let’s make his stay as short as possible! Please message if you are interested in meeting him or knowing more.

The shelter desperately needs help placing our grumpy old man Ludo. He’s been at the shelter for a year now and as of late has been getting more and more confrontational with the other cats in his room. Ludo had never lived with another cat so showing up at the shelter at 13 years old has been a struggle for the old guy. Confrontations are especially dangerous being he is front paw declawed and missing some teeth after a dental.

Ludo doesn’t so much want to be pet as he wants to be next to you. He lays on my shoe if I sit in the chair and will follow you around the room. I am quite positive in another setting he would be a somewhat happier fellow. He will always be a bit grouchy but is so sweet at times. He is particular on where he is pet and may try to bite or swat if you don’t respect his boundaries (again, declawed). At this point we are having to put him in a cage when we leave for his own safety, meaning he is now spending 18-19 hours per day in a cage 😔. The only solution is someone takes this guy home. His fees are waived. He just needs a spot to nap and a human to follow around for his remaining years. NO YOUNG CHILDREN. Please message me if you are interested in meeting him or knowing more.

Meet Lucky! Lucky is a quiet, calm young adult (2022) looking for a loving home. This sweet sweet girl absolutely loves to be pet and has really blossomed in her time at the shelter. I’ve caught her playing with toys on occasion and she loves sitting in the open window. Lucky is a very petite little cat, under 8lbs.

While Lucky was in a free roam room with 20+ cats, she’d choose to be an only cat if she had the choice. She is not aggressive toward other cats but lets them know with a quiet growl (mainly at Ludo) or occasional hiss if they are in her bubble. Alternatively I’ve seen her cleaning the face of a cat and she will often be lying in the windowsill with other cats inches away. Lucky would not appreciate the energy level of small children but would like teens that want to smother her with attention.
