🐾 BIG NEWS FROM DELTA DOG CO. — WE’RE MOVING! 🌴🌊

First, we owe everyone a little apology for being so quiet lately. We haven’t been posting much, and messages have taken us longer than usual to respond to.

The last few weeks have brought some pretty major changes behind the scenes. We experienced a heartbreaking loss in our family with the passing of Donnie’s mom, while also dealing with some unexpected personal and legal matters at home. Needless to say, Delta Dog Co. had to take a back seat for a little while as we took care of our family and figured out what came next.

But we’re still here. ❤️

And now we finally get to share what comes next:

🌴 DELTA DOG CO. IS MOVING TO NAVARRE, FLORIDA! 🐾

This wasn’t exactly the way we imagined starting our next chapter, but sometimes life has a funny way of pointing you toward where you’re supposed to go.

We’re trading the city streets for sandy paws, salty air, and a fresh start on the Gulf Coast. 🌊

To every one of our Mobile-area clients: thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your dogs, recommending us to your friends, supporting this little business, and being patient with us during such a difficult time. The relationships we’ve built with you and your dogs mean more to us than we can put into a Facebook post.

We will still be available for our regular clients! I am always willing to arrange pick up and make the trip for our favorite fur babies.

While our address is changing, the heart behind Delta Dog Co. isn’t.

Same dogs. Same love. New stomping grounds.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be getting settled, catching up on messages, and sharing more information about our new service area, availability, and what Delta Dog Co. will look like in Florida.

We’re excited to get back to doing what we love — and we can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes us.

From the Delta to the Gulf. 🌾 → 🌊

Here’s to new beginnings. 🐾🤎

🐾 Our rescue babies need your help. 🐾

Rescue doesn’t stop at getting an animal off the street. In a lot of ways, that’s where the work begins.

Right now, we have a lot of dogs in our care, and several of them need continued medical treatment and vetting. Between veterinary visits, medications, vaccines, preventatives, deworming, food, crates, cleaning supplies, and all of the everyday necessities that come with caring for rescue animals, the expenses add up fast.

We will continue saying yes whenever we reasonably can. We’ll keep taking in the scared ones, the injured ones, the unwanted ones, and the ones who simply need somebody to give them a chance. But we can’t do it alone.

If you’d like to support the rescue side of our mission, even $5 or $10 makes a difference. A few dollars can buy a dose of dewormer. A little more can help with vaccines or preventatives. Every donation helps us put food in a bowl, provide medical care, and get another animal one step closer to being healthy and ready for a forever home.

💙 Donations can be sent via Cash App:
$cgibs5198

We could also use:
• Towels
• Blankets
• Bowls
• Diamond Naturals Dog Food - Salmon and Sweet Potato
• Salmon formula wet dog food - NO CHICKEN
• Wet kitten food
• Iams kitten food
• Chicken free dog treats
• Puppy playpens

If you aren’t able to donate, sharing this post helps tremendously too.

Thank you to everyone who donates, shares our animals, fosters, adopts, volunteers, or simply supports what we’re trying to build. Every animal we save is a community effort.

They deserve a chance. We’re going to keep giving them one. 🐾

It has been a CRAZY week in rescue — the kind where you blink and somehow there are more tiny paws, more vet appointments, more laundry, and definitely more mouths to feed. 😂🐾

But look at all these BABIES. 🥹❤️

We’ve had several new little lives come through our doors this week, and while it has been exhausting, chaotic, expensive, and a little bit insane… this is exactly why we do what we do.

Right now, everyone is getting what they need: good food, medical care, vaccines and deworming, warm beds, socialization, and plenty of love while we get to know their individual personalities.

And that means we are going to have LOTS of babies looking for forever homes very soon! 🏡🐶🐱

They aren’t quite ready to pack their little bags yet, but over the next few weeks we’ll be introducing everyone individually as they become adoption-ready. So if you’ve been thinking about adding a new family member, keep an eye on our page. Your baby might already be here. 👀❤️

In the meantime, please share our posts, tell your friends, and help us get these babies in front of the people who are meant to find them.

Rescue has been absolutely WILD this week.

But every full belly, every clean bed, every puppy tail wag, every kitten purr, and eventually every “ADOPTED” makes the chaos worth it. 🐾❤️

Big things — and lots of little paws — are coming soon.

Your dog only gets about 12 good summers with you.

Twelve summers to swim in rivers and shake the water all over you. Twelve summers to run through the woods, get muddy, chase smells, and come home absolutely exhausted. Twelve summers of car rides with their head out the window and mornings where they lose their minds because they realize they’re coming with you.

And if you’re lucky, maybe you get a few more.

We spend so much of their lives asking them to fit neatly into ours—to stay home, settle down, wait for us, be good.

But their whole life happens while we’re busy living ours.

So take them with you.

Take the long way. Let them sniff. Let them get dirty. Let them splash in the river even though your car is going to smell like wet dog afterward.

You can clean the seats.

You can wash the mud off.

You cannot get a summer back.

Today was 3.4 crazy miles of trails, river water, muddy paws, happy dogs, and absolutely no regrets.

Let them enjoy their summers. They don’t get nearly enough of them. 🐾

Linus had the best day with his “cousin” Sunny. 🌾🐾

Running through the tall grass, playing chase, sniffing every inch of the field, then ending the day curled up with a good chew and a friend. Safe to say he approved of the adventure. 💚

Linus is the kind of dog who finds joy in the little things. He’s goofy, affectionate, curious, and always ready to tag along wherever life takes you. Whether it’s exploring a pasture or napping on the couch after a long day, he’s happiest just being part of the family.

He’s still looking for a place to call his own. If you’ve been thinking about adding a loyal little sidekick to your life, Linus is ready whenever you are.

📍Available for adoption through Lily’s Luck Rescue.
Please share to help this sweet boy find his forever home. 🐾❤️

Freya is officially available for adoption! 🖤🐾

Meet the kind of dog that wants a purpose as much as she wants a family.

Freya is a 3-year-old, 53 lb spayed German Shepherd mix who’s fully vetted and ready to find her person.

She was an owner surrender, and is believed to have Belgian Malinois as well. Lily’s Luck Rescue 501(c)3 Nonprofit took her in and got her fully vetted, while she has been staying with me for training.

She’s intelligent, loyal, and happiest when she has something to do—whether that’s hiking, training, exploring, or simply being by your side.

She gets along well with other dogs, is deeply affectionate with the people she trusts, and will thrive in a home that understands the needs of a working-breed dog.

If you’ve been looking for a devoted adventure partner with a heart of gold, Freya just might be your perfect match.

Recall isn’t just a cool trick—it’s one of the most important behaviors your dog can learn.

A reliable recall gives your dog more freedom, builds trust, and could save their life one day.

Knox has put in countless hours of training to get here. This didn’t happen overnight, but every session was worth it.

If your dog’s recall isn’t where you want it to be yet, don’t worry. That’s exactly what training is for. 🐾
