Dolly the Dachshund
Age: 9 years • Weight: 11 lbs • Gender: Female (spayed)
Dolly is a dachshund mix who was found abandoned on the side of a road. She’s been working her way back ever since, and she’s got plenty of sass to show for it.
She gets around well. She runs, spins, turns, and loves rolling in the grass. She has a slight wobble and a bunny-hop in her step from an old spinal injury, but it doesn’t slow her down.
What Dolly needs:
Because of her spinal injury, Dolly needs help emptying her bladder using a technique called manual bladder expression. It takes a few minutes, a few times a day, and her foster can teach you how. Once you have the routine down, it’s just part of the day.
She also has a senior dental procedure coming up. The rescue is covering the full cost.
In short:
Dolly is sassy, gets around fine, and is ready for a home after a rough start. She’d do well with someone patient who’s up for her simple daily care.
Our adoption fee is $175 and includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip and spay. Please see adoption application in comments.
