A lot of people ask me how the dog treat company and the rescue work fit together. So let me just tell you straight:

They're the same thing.

The treats are what keep me on the road. They're what let me walk into shelters, sit with the dogs nobody's looking at, film their stories, and fight for them until somebody finally sees what I see. Every bag you buy is gas in the tank, a camera in my hand, and another day I get to keep showing up for animals who have nobody else.

Without this company, the rescue work doesn't reach as far. And without the rescue work, this company wouldn't be worth a thing. One feeds the other — and you're the one who makes the whole loop work.

So when you buy a bag, you're not just shopping. You're sending me back into a shelter with a purpose. You're giving a long-timer dog another chance to be seen. You're standing in the gap for animals who can't ask for help themselves.

That's why I built this company the way I did. Not to get rich — to keep going. To keep fighting. To never have to tell a shelter, "I wish I could help, but I can't."

Thank you for making that possible. Every bag, every gift, every share — it all matters more than you know.

It's the last weekend of National Adoption Week, and all week long the whole country has been talking about shelter dogs. This year's message hit me right in the chest: give big dogs a second look.

Here's why it matters. Last year, big dogs spent about 70% more time waiting in shelters than small dogs. Seventy percent. That's not because they're harder to love — it's because people walk right past the kennel and pick the little one. Meanwhile the big dog is still sitting there, tail wagging, hoping today is finally his day.

I know those dogs. They're the ones I meet at the end of the row. Gentle giants with hearts too big for the space they're stuck in, waiting for somebody to see past their size and see their soul.

So here's my ask this weekend: if you've been thinking about a dog, go meet a big one. Sit with them. Let them lean all that weight right into you. You might just meet your best friend.

And if you can't adopt right now, you can still be part of it — share this, support your local shelter, or grab a bag from a KC company that stands behind these dogs every single day.

The big ones are worth a second look. I promise you that.

See this bag? It's so much more than treats. It's my whole heart, right there in red and gold. ❤️

Look at it. The Kansas City skyline. Union Station. The landmarks we all grew up with. It says "Taste of KC in every bite" — and we mean that. This city raised me, believed in me, and has stood behind me every step of the way. Every bag we make carries Kansas City in it.

But here's what you can't see in this photo: this bag also represents every dog I've ever helped and loved along the way.

The ones at the end of the row. The old ones. The scared ones. The ones everybody else walked right past. Every dog I ever knelt down beside and promised, "I see you — and I'm not giving up on you." More than 1,500 shelter pets helped into loving homes over the years… and every single one of them is part of why this company exists.

So when you pick up a bag of Kansas City Dog Treats, you're not just treating your dog. You're holding this city in your hands — and every dog this city has helped me fight for.

That's what a bag really is around here. That's who you're supporting. And please know: I don't take a single one for granted.

Thank you, Kansas City, for loving dogs the way I do. 🐾

Every bag of treats we sell does two jobs.

Job one is simple: it makes a Kansas City dog very, very happy.

Job two is the reason I get up in the morning. It helps keep me in the fight for the homeless cats and dogs of this community.

My life is split between this little business and the shelter world — the kennels, the medical cases, the scared ones, the ones who need somebody to show up for them again and again until their person finally walks through the door. That work never really stops. And honestly? Neither do I.

But I can't do it alone, and this company is how you get to be part of it. When you buy from Kansas City Dog Treats Co., you're not feeding some giant corporation's bottom line. You're putting your dollars behind a local founder who spends his life standing up for the animals nobody else will — right here in your own community.

So grab a bag for your pup. Grab one as a gift for the dog lover in your life. Set up a subscription and let it ride every month. It all adds up to something bigger than treats.

Around here, a purchase is a vote. Thank you for voting for the underdogs — and the undercats. 🐾❤️

Sunday might be the most Kansas City day ever. 🐾

At 4 PM, our KC Current play their final regular-season home game at CPKC Stadium — it's the Fan Appreciation Match, they're playing for playoff home-field advantage, the first 10,000 fans get a Current flag, and there's a Debinha bobblehead giveaway.

And when the match ends? Nobody goes home. Current Landing turns into one big watch party for Sunday Night Football at 7:20. One riverfront, two KC teams, all day long.

So here's the game plan for your pup:
⚽ **4 PM — Current Crunch**, our official KC Current partner treat, for the match.
🏈 **7:20 PM — Touchdown Treats**, our pumpkin game-day bag, for the watch party.

Two games. Two bags. One very good dog.

Whether you're heading to the riverfront or holding down the couch, make sure your four-legged fan is stocked and ready. And as always, every bag supports my shelter-dog work right here in KC — thank you for that.

See you Sunday, Kansas City. ❤️💙

Can I tell you my favorite gift to give a dog lover?

Not another toy that's forgotten in a day. Something with a story behind it.

Our **Best of KC Bundle** is all five of our treats in one box — Touchdown Treats, Plaza Lights Bites, Current Crunch, Ballpark Bites, and classic Peanut Butter — every single bag celebrating something iconic about Kansas City. It comes with a free KC skyline tote, and it's $55 for what would cost $59.95 bought one bag at a time.

Here's why it makes the perfect gift: you're not just handing someone dog treats. You're giving them a little tour of this city — made right here in KC by a local founder whose whole life is animal welfare. Every purchase supports the shelter and rescue work I do in this community. That's a gift that means something to give, not just to get.

Birthday coming up? A friend who just adopted a dog? A new puppy in the family? This is the one that lands.

And if you want the same idea at a smaller size, the **KC Game Day Pack** ($35.95) and the **Tote & Treat Bundle** ($25) are right there too.

Thank you for shopping local, Kansas City. You're the reason this little company — and the mission behind it — keeps going. 🐾🎁

Before there was a company, there was the work.

My life has been animals. Not as a hobby — as a calling. I've spent years in shelters and kennels across this city, standing in the corner of the dogs who have nobody. The old ones. The big ones. The scared ones. The ones people walk right past on their way to the puppies.

I made a promise a long time ago: as long as I'm standing, those dogs aren't invisible. Not on my watch.

Kansas City Dog Treats Co. was born from that promise. This was never just about selling treats. It's the way this work carries on — and the way Kansas City gets to be part of it. Every bag carries the mission with it, and every person who buys one is standing in that corner with me.

So when you support this brand, understand what you're really supporting: a lifetime of showing up for the animals nobody else showed up for. And it doesn't take much — a bag for your own dog, a bag gifted to a fellow dog lover, a share so the next person sees it. That's how a small local company keeps a big mission alive.

This is National Adoption Week. If your heart has room, go meet one of the ones who's been waiting the longest. I promise you — they're worth it.

Thank you for believing in this work, and for believing in me.

This week, the whole country is talking about shelter dogs — and I love that. 🐾

It's National Adoption Week, and this year's message is one that's close to my heart: give big dogs a second look. The big, goofy, wonderful dogs are the ones who wait the longest in shelters. I've known that for years in this work, and now there's a national report to back it up — large dogs spent 70% more time in shelters than small dogs last year.

So here's my ask, Kansas City: show me your big dogs. 💛

If you share your life with a big rescue — the kind of dog everybody walked past, the one who took a little longer to find home — drop their photo in the comments. I want to celebrate them this week. Tell me their name and where you found each other.

This community — all of you who follow along, support this brand, and open your homes to shelter dogs — is why I do what I do. Every bag of treats I sell keeps that mission work going. Thank you for being the kind of people who give big dogs a second look.

And if a big dog just found their way to you this week? Congratulations. 🥹 Our treats make a pretty great welcome-home gift.

People ask me sometimes why a guy who spends his life doing animal rescue started a dog treat company.

Here's the honest answer: the treats *are* part of the mission.

For years, my life has been the shelters, the kennels, the dogs in this city who have nobody in their corner. That work is everything to me — but it doesn't run on good intentions. It runs on support. On people showing up.

That's what Kansas City Dog Treats Co. really is. It's a way for more people to show up.

Every bag you buy supports a local founder whose whole life is animal welfare — and you're not just donating, either. You're getting something in return: treats made right here in Kansas City, each bag celebrating something iconic about this city, for your own dog or as a gift for someone whose dog is their whole world.

So I'm asking, plain and simple: if you believe in this work, support it. Buy a bag. Gift a bag. Share this post. Every bit of it keeps the mission moving.

And since this week is National Adoption Week — if you've been thinking about adding a dog to your family, go meet one. There's a good dog in a KC shelter right now waiting for exactly you.

Thank you for standing with me. And thank you for standing with them. 🐾❤️
