I love getting a peek into an artist studio, filled with materials, tools, works in progress and finished pieces!

While scouting for my next photo shoot, I happened upon this artist, James Barnay. While he worked, we chatted and he explained his process of painting murals. He doesn't use a projector but preps the wall by using a grid method.
The story that is unfolding is about the history of some of the people who came through Ellis island and ended up in Waukesha.
I asked him if he is on social media, and he said, yes and no. He doesn't really post, but others post about him. Well, I guess i'm one of the people now sharing his art and story.

He's such a skilled and clever creative. I'm honestly in awe of his art.
I love that he also hung up some of his carved woodblocks!

It's always a joy and surprise when one of my clients sends, a hand written thank- you!

* Well, none of us are models by a long shot, you did a great job of capturing the happiness that we feel when we are together*....

The simple act of kindness, it goes such a long way.

As a kid, my mom taught me to never take for granted someone's generosity or thoughtfulness. I've been writing had written cards all my life. Sending a lil sunshine through the mail.
