Peanut Butter was adopted!!! 🥜 We are so so happy for him. He has an AMAZING new two story home that I hear he is already exploring! From a super shy Russian that was crammed with a red foot, to the friendly, happy, healthy tortoise he is today, we are SOOO happy for him!! 🐢

If anyone is interested in a red foot, we’d love to see Jelly get adopted next!!

Gary is still available for adoption! If you’ve ever wanted a Dorita in lizard form, Gary is the one for you.

Gary is Adenovirus positive, but he doesn’t let this hold him back. If you’re interested, reach out for more info or apply to adopt through our site!

Thank you so much for helping us reach our fundraising goal! Here is some more info about Cuora Amboinensis (aka the Southeast Asian Box Turtle). 🐢

This species is so sweet and special, it is devastating that they are facing such dramatic population loss. Though it feels like we don’t have a super direct impact on their conservation abroad, having Carnita really helps us realize how connected we all are. The exploitation in the pet trade DOES have a very harmful and long lasting effect on animals globally.

We hope you enjoy learning about them as much as we have! And if you are feeling generous, our fundraiser is still open!! The vet visit will likely exceed our fundraising goal, and typically the more funds we have, the more good we can do for them… but regardless, THANK YOU 💚🐢💚

PS…. no AI was used in the making of this post… Facebook may have flagged it due to us using Canva…? 🙂‍↔️

Meet Carnita! She is a 13 year old Asian box turtle (Cuora amboinensis) and needs YOUR HELP! 🐢 She’s our oldest resident here and we think it’s about time she gets a check up at the vet. A simple check up isn’t too expensive and a small $5 or $10 donation would do a TON to help us reach our goal! She unfortunately has had very little adoption interest and we’ve had her for over a year. Her species is not super common in the pet trade and she requires more care than your average box turtle. But her species is also endangered and facing serious threat due to habitat loss, hunting, and poaching.

Donate to support Carnita!! We’ll be putting out an educational post about Cuoras later this week so that we can share more info about this wonderful species. 💚💚💚

Large Fry was adopted!!! She waited patiently for over a year, but in the end she found her perfect forever home and that’s what matters most.

Thank you SO much to Rook and Co. for fostering and helping her find her adopter! Rescue wouldn’t be possible without amazing fosters.

Good luck in your new home, we hope you’re spoiled with lots of super worm and blueberry treats! 💚
