Nobody doing more than you is laughing at you for trying.
I’ve noticed this over and over again.
The successful breeder isn’t making fun of you for buying your first pair.
The guy running a successful business isn’t laughing because you started selling something out of your garage.
The person in better shape isn’t making fun of you for walking into the gym.
They’re usually the ones telling you to keep going.
Most of the criticism comes from people sitting on the sidelines.
It’s easy to explain why someone else’s idea won’t work when you’ve never built anything yourself.
It’s easy to criticize someone’s prices when you’ve never run a business.
It’s easy to laugh at someone’s mistakes when you’ve never taken enough risk to make any.
If you’re actually trying to build something, you’re going to look stupid occasionally.
You’re going to make mistakes.
Some people are going to talk s**t.
Let them.
I’d rather fail at something I’m building than become an expert at criticizing people who are actually doing it.
Stop looking into the cheap seats for approval.
Build.
