🐾 A Couple of Important September Dates! 🐾

🇺🇸 Labor Day – Monday, September 7th
Vanity Fur Pet Salon & Resort will be closed to the public in observance of Labor Day. As always, all of our boarding guests will continue to receive their normal care, love, potty breaks, meals, and attention throughout the day. ❤️🐶

We will reopen Tuesday, September 8th at 7:00 AM for normal business hours.

✂️ Tuesday, September 15th – Master Groomer Certification Day ✂️
We’re excited to share that we will have a professional certifier joining us at Vanity Fur while members of our grooming team work toward their Master Groomer certifications! 🎓🐩

Because certification testing requires a quiet, focused environment with as few interruptions as possible, we will be making a few temporary changes for the day:

• No daycare
• No bath appointments
• No regular grooming appointments, with the exception of our certification dogs

We WILL still be here to answer phones, schedule appointments, accept boarding drop-offs, and accommodate boarding pick-ups. All of our boarding guests will receive their normal care throughout the day. 🐾

Keeping the salon calm and limiting traffic will allow our groomers to focus fully on their testing and showcase all of the hard work, education, and skill they’ve put into reaching this point.

A HUGE congratulations to Ava for officially completing the entire Dog Handler Academy! 🎉👏🐶

Ava has worked her way through all SIX modules, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this accomplishment with her! ❤️

There’s so much more to caring for dogs than loving them (although we definitely have plenty of that around here! 🥰). Continuing education helps our team better understand canine behavior, safe handling, health, wellness, and how to provide the best possible care for every pup who walks through our doors. 🐾

We love watching our team continue to learn, grow, and invest in becoming even better at what they do.

We are so proud to celebrate Morgan, one of our amazing receptionists, for officially completing the entire Dog Handler Academy! 🐾🎓👏

Morgan has worked her way through all six courses—101 through 601, finishing with Playgroup Management! Each course has helped build her knowledge in canine behavior, safety, handling, communication, and proper playgroup management—all skills that help us provide the safest and best possible care for the pets entrusted to us. ❤️

We’re incredibly proud of the time and effort Morgan has put into continuing her education. Even though you usually see her smiling face at the front desk, there’s a whole lot of dog knowledge behind that smile! 😉🐶

🔥 Akeria, Ava & Morgan have officially completed DHA 501! And y’all… that means they have ONLY ONE MORE MODULE LEFT!! 😱🎓🐶

The finish line is RIGHT THERE! 🏁 These three have continued to put in the work, module after module, and we are so proud of them. 601… they’re coming for you! 💪😂

But they aren’t the only ones moving up!

One of the easiest things you can do at pickup is schedule your pet’s next grooming appointment before you leave! 🗓️

Why do we recommend prebooking?

🐶 Get the days & times that work best for YOU. Our grooming schedule can fill up quickly, especially for popular days and times.

🔁 Love having the same day every few weeks? BOOK AHEAD! You can schedule your grooming appointments as far in advance as you’d like! If you know your pup comes every 4, 6, or 8 weeks, we can go ahead and set up those recurring appointments so you don’t have to worry about finding an opening each time.

✂️ Stay on a consistent grooming schedule. Regular appointments help keep coats healthier, reduce matting, keep nails maintained, and make grooming easier and more comfortable for your pet.

❤️ Stick with your preferred groomer. Prebooking gives you the best chance of keeping the groomer, day, and time that work best for you and your pup.

🎄 And then there are the HOLIDAYS… Thanksgiving and Christmas appointments are some of our most requested appointments of the entire year, so those spots disappear FAST!

And let’s not forget the very serious holiday business…

🐾 And if something comes up, just give us a call! It’s much easier to adjust an appointment you already have than to wait until you need one and find out your preferred day is full.

We had several pups join us for Splash Day today… but one of them clearly thought the entire event was being held in her honor. 🤣🎉

Some came to splash around and have a good time.

Champagne came to PARTY. 😂💦🥂

She understood the assignment, gave it 110%, and clearly had absolutely ZERO regrets.

We may be a little late making the announcement 😅, but the pups certainly won’t mind!

☀️ Tomorrow is SPLASH DAY at Vanity Fur! 🌊🐶

Our daycare pups will be cooling off with some extra water-filled fun, so get ready for some wet paws, happy tails, and lots of splashing! 💦

🎓🐾 More Dog Handler Academy Milestones! 🐾🎓

Our team just keeps learning, growing, and leveling up — and we have THREE more accomplishments to celebrate! 👏💜

🌟 Akeria has officially completed Module 401! She’s been working her way through the Dog Handler Academy courses and continuing to build her knowledge of canine care, behavior, safety, and handling. We’re so proud of the progress she’s making!

🌟 Ava and Morgan have both officially completed Course 501! 🎉 Another big step in their education and another layer of knowledge they can bring into the care of the dogs entrusted to us every day.

Dog Handler Academy goes far beyond simply “working with dogs.” These courses dive into important topics like canine body language and behavior, safe handling, health and wellness, recognizing potential problems, emergency awareness, and providing a safer, lower-stress environment for the pets in our care. 🐶❤️

We’re incredibly proud of Akeria, Ava, and Morgan for continuing to put in the time to learn and grow! 👏

Apparently Lemon thought “paw soak” meant spa day + scheduled nap time. 😂🐾💤

Look at those eyes… girlfriend was about 30 seconds away from falling asleep right there in the tub. 🤣

But her Paw Fizz Soak isn’t just for the pampered-pup experience! 🫧🐾 It’s a great little add-on for pups with paws that need some extra TLC.
