Today is Fiona’s first birthday. 🤎

And unfortunately… it also comes with a post I really didn’t want to have to make.

Fiona is my daughter’s rabbit, and just like Hei Hei, she is needing a new family because my daughter is moving somewhere she is unable to take her.

This little girl was actually hand selected by my daughter because of how sweet and beautiful she was from the very beginning.

And honestly… she still is.

Fiona is a gorgeous chocolate otter with the prettiest coloring and SO much personality packed into one little bunny.

She is definitely the spunkier of the two. 😂

She has opinions. She has energy. She will absolutely keep you entertained.

But underneath all that sass is such a sweet girl who LOVES head rubs and chin rubs and will happily soak up the attention once you find the right spot.

She is curious, funny, beautiful, and just one of those rabbits that makes you laugh because you never quite know what she’s going to do next.

Fiona is one year old today and has already been spayed.

We’re hoping to connect her with a family who will keep her indoors, give her plenty of daily free-roam time, and understand that rabbits need just as much interaction, enrichment, and love as any other pet.

This is incredibly hard for us. She was chosen to be part of our family, and none of us ever expected that we would be in this position.

We just want to make sure that wherever Fiona goes, she is loved for exactly who she is, spunky little personality and all. 🤎

Do you guys remember Theodore… aka Theo… aka Theodorable? 🤍

Well… this is his son, Hei Hei.

And I swear this boy got his daddy’s temperament almost EXACTLY.

He is one of the sweetest, most easygoing rabbits you could ever meet. He will sit right in your lap and let you love on him for as long as you want. He just wants attention, pets, and to be close to his people.

He is so chill. So gentle. So affectionate.

And unfortunately, we are having to find him a new home.

Hei Hei is actually my daughter’s rabbit, but she is moving somewhere that she is unable to take him with her. If there were any possible way I could squeeze one more animal into this RV, he would absolutely be the one.

But I simply can’t.

And that makes this absolutely gutting for all of us.

His name has a funny little backstory too. 😂

When he was a baby, his fur was growing in SO wild that he reminded us of Hei Hei, the chicken from Moana with the crazy feathers.

And honestly… nobody wanted him.

His personality was top-notch from day one, so we were pretty convinced the only reason people kept passing him up was because he was going through a very unfortunate hair phase. 🤣

Well… he has 100% grown into those looks and is now quite possibly the handsomest boy in town.

And underneath all that handsome is still the exact same sweet little soul he has always been.

Hei Hei is just over a year and a half old and is already neutered.

He needs a home where he will get lots of attention and time with his people because he truly thrives on it. He doesn’t just tolerate affection — he LOVES it. He wants to sit with you, be petted, and be part of whatever is going on.

Very much his father’s son. 🤍

• Must have daily free roam time
• Must be willing to answer questions and share setup photos

We are not taking this lightly. These rabbits are family, and having to make these decisions is incredibly hard.

We just want Hei Hei to end up with someone who sees what we see when we look at him and will love him every bit as much as he deserves.

🐇 A little update from Phae’s Haven…

Phae’s Haven may no longer be operating as a rabbitry, but I’ve realized that doesn’t mean this page has to disappear.

Phae’s Haven started because of one very special rabbit: Phaedra. She’s the reason this page ever existed in the first place, and losing her much too young changed the way I looked at rabbit care forever.

One of the biggest things she taught me was how important it is to know your rabbit.

Rabbits are incredibly good at hiding illness. Sometimes the signs that something is wrong are tiny...eating a little less, sitting differently, being quieter than usual, changing bathroom habits, or just seeming a little “off.”

And when you know your rabbit’s normal, you’re much more likely to recognize when something isn’t right.

I’ve wondered many times whether getting Phae help sooner could have changed her outcome. I’ll never really know. But that experience is a huge part of why I feel so strongly about rabbit education now.

And that includes being an advocate for your rabbit at the veterinarian too.

A rabbit-savvy or exotic vet is incredibly important, but no veterinarian knows your rabbit the way you do. They see them for a short appointment. You see their habits, personality, appetite, posture, routines, and little changes every single day. If your gut is telling you something is wrong, speak up. Ask questions. Get another opinion when needed.

So while the rabbitry chapter of Phae’s Haven has ended, I’d love for this page to become something different:

A place for rabbit education, care tips, nutrition, behavior, housing, enrichment, warning signs, things I wish I had known sooner, and occasionally helping rabbits find new homes when someone truly needs assistance.

Because if something I learned through Phae - or any of the rabbits who came after her - helps another rabbit live a healthier, happier life, then Phae’s Haven is still doing exactly what it was meant to do. 🤍🐇

And yes… you’ll probably still get a few random bunny stories along the way.🤓

This sweet boy is one of our babies from Beau & Theo, and honestly… he is just the gentlest little soul. He’s super chill, laid back, and loves attention and treats. He’s also litter trained, neutered, and great with cats. 🥹

His family has had some big life changes and made the very difficult decision to find him a home where he can get the extra time and attention he deserves. This was not an easy choice, and we’d really love to help find him the perfect fit.

He will come with:
• His pen
• Litter box
• Wooden bed
• Toys
• Food & water dishes

All of our buns have officially been claimed 🐇🤍

I don’t even know how to put into words what this little journey has meant. Raising these babies, getting to know each of their personalities, and then watching them go off to their new homes… it’s been one of the sweetest, hardest, most rewarding things I’ve ever done.

If you’ve adopted a Phae’s Haven bunny—thank you. Truly. It means the world to me knowing they’re going to homes that chose them on purpose. I’m so grateful I got to be a small part of your story (and theirs).

This page isn’t going anywhere—it’ll just look a little different now. It’ll be home to the ones we couldn’t quite let go of… Mabel & Beau 🤍

And I would absolutely LOVE to see updates from you guys. Photos, videos, funny moments, all of it. Don’t be a stranger—I still think about every single one of them.

I can’t believe we’re down to just 3 buns left looking for their homes 🥺

These three are all so different in their own way, and honestly… they’ve made this decision really hard.

🐰 Fyrn – more on the gentle, quieter side. Takes a minute to warm up, but once she does, she’s incredibly sweet and lovable🩷

🐰 Kanga – if you know, you know 😂
She’s got personality. A little “no thanks” at first, then suddenly she’s melting into you like she didn’t just act tough 2 seconds ago.

🐰 Christopher Robin – just an easy, good boy. Sweet, curious, and go-with-the-flow. The kind that settles in naturally.

All three are:
✨ Litter trained (minus some stray 💩's)
✨ Handled daily
✨ Raised indoors with a lot of love

Now I do want to say this gently, but clearly—

I am very intentional about where my rabbits go. I care deeply about them, so I’m looking for homes that have done at least some research and understand what rabbit care really looks like (space, time, proper setup, etc.).

And please, please be 100% sure before placing a deposit.

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Not just because of my time or turning away other potential adopters—but because I want to make sure you are fully committed to that rabbit. Once a bunny is reserved, I stop offering them to other homes and begin preparing for that placement, so it’s important that decision is certain.

Last… but definitely not least… is our wild little man, Wynn 🤍(also known as Wynnie… or the Tasmanian devil 😅)

Wynn is full of personality in the most entertaining way. One minute he’s on one side, the next minute he’s on the other—you truly never know what he’s going to do next, but you will be laughing and watching the whole time.

He’s got that chaotic, goofy energy that makes him so fun to have around. He loves pets, will sometimes give kisses… but honestly? Most of the time he just wants to zoom around like a crazy man and live his best life (and yes… probably go looking for the ladies while he’s at it 😅).

He’s 1 year and 1 month old (born 2/21/25), a gorgeous lilac otter buck—and let’s be real… he is handsome as all get out.

Wynn is the only rabbit we would consider allowing to go as a breeder, but only under the right circumstances.

If going as a breeder:
• He must still be kept indoors
• He must be treated as a pet first—not just a breeding rabbit

Otherwise, he would thrive just as much in a loving pet home where he has space to run and play.

This one… I don’t even know how to write this one.

Next is Theodore… also known as Theo… or Theodorable 🤍

This one is truly gut-wrenching for us.

He is hands down the most lovable bunny we have ever had (aside from Phae, of course). He is just full of personality and has so much love to give.

Theo is a total snuggle bug. He will sit in your lap for HOURS if you let him, completely content just being close to you. And if you’re not giving him attention? Oh… he’ll make sure you know. He will beg for pets and love like it’s his full-time job.

As you can probably see in his photos… he just wants to be touched, held, and loved.

He’s 2 years and 3 months old (born 12/10/23), a beautiful blue self buck with the sweetest, most affectionate heart.

He is going to need a home where he gets lots of attention, love, and time with his people—because that’s what he thrives on.
