I love him so much. He probably has 55 rides total. I started him in March. There isn’t anything I can’t do from his back. Today we rode around the heavy equipment putting in electricity to the arena. He wasn’t phased at all. No ride has lasted longer than 20 minutes. He has a killer stop. He’s got a nice haunch turn. He can side pass poles, straddle poles, open gates, leg yield in walk and trot, half pass in walk and trot, shoulder in and haunches in at walk, canter both directions on the correct lead in the arena. I’ve never taken him to the round pen. I’ve trail ridden him. He’s been around the flags and flappy tarps. I think he’s a keeper. He’s going to be well educated, sane and sound. Not broken from doing work that isn’t age appropriate.

Trainer's please don't miss out on this opportunity. To be in a room full of fellow trainers, to ask questions you don't get to ask, and to feel things you don't get to usually feel is invaluable. Dec 4-6, 2026 at Shining River Ranch.
Eloquent words from the host, Kelli Worley, "To truly honor the horse, we must be willing to look beneath the surface. By understanding the intricate, beautiful reality of their internal design, we can finally promise them a better, kinder, and more informed standard of care.
Stepping into a whole horse dissection completely changes how we view these magnificent animals. It is a sobering, humbling experience that bridges the gap between theory and reality. When you see the unbroken lines of fascia—the connective tissue that wraps the entire body from the poll down to the tail and into the hooves—you realize that nothing happens in isolation. A restriction in the jaw can alter the stride of the hind leg. A poorly fitted saddle doesn't just pinch the back; it alters the biomechanics of the entire thoracic sling."
