We realize it's been awhile and here's why....
Helpers 4 Shelters is, and has always been run ENTIRELY by volunteers. If we're being honest, there are truly only a handful of us... and sometimes,...things just get to be way, waaaaaaaaaay too much that we need to take a step back for just a little while.
With the number of animals seeking assistance compared to the number of rescues, fosters and shelters with available space, there is simply NO WAY TO KEEP UP without loss of life! and THAT is a hard thing for anyone, especially a rescue(r) to swallow.
Helpers 4 Shelters IS still active, we DO have adoptable animals available (listed on Petfinder), we WILL be back to events, we WILL be fundraising and we ARE working on being open to more intakes again very soon.
We truly appreciate each and everyone of our adopters, followers, fans, friends, volunteers... all of you! Thank you for sticking with us!
