Yesterday was a sad day at the Hideway. We lost another beloved furry friend. Oreo passed away at the ripe age of 12 years old. Losing his big sister a little over a year ago definitely took a toll on his mood and his health began to decline a few months ago They were both born here, under the house, on the 4th of July 2013. So it is very fitting they be laid to rest together in the back pasture!
All the animals that we’ve rescued over the years were special in their own ways! They were loved (and spoiled) by many of you! We are so grateful for the outpouring of encouragment, support and assisrance that our little rescue family has received from all of you over the last 15 years!!
If you would, please take a moment to reflect on any time(s) you spent with us and honor the ones we’ve lost by sharing your favorite memories and/or pictures of Twilight, Tinkerbell, Muffin, Sprinkles, Zucco, Cookie (or any of the other multitude of cats), Ducky, Shimmer, Shine and the other chickens,, the bunnies, the goats (Misty, & Ash), the dogs; Sugar, Salsa, Toby, Chip, Reesie, and Oreo, the horses; Johnny, Dixie and especially the constant center of attention and

Meet Teagan, the newest member of the Hideaway family! She has settled right in, remarkably well and has already let Garrett know who’s in charge! 🐴🥰

It’s been a long, difficult few months and I haven’t been able to bring myself to post anything on this page because it’s always been a source of encouragement. My heart is still broken from the loss of my precious Roxy. 🐴 I’ve tried to continue on with helping and rescuing but it’s just not the same without her here. Having said that, I hope to be back up and running things in a more orderly fashion starting this June. Keep an eye out for pics of the newest rescued pups, Copper and Lincoln, who will be joining us soon!

Gotta love when Russel’s has Customer Appreciation Day! I stocked up for at least 2 months!
