alllll i did this winter was hatch from my choc/mauve pen 😅 & some of the january babies are just now starting to fill out!

chocolates are soooo slowwww!

but it's fun because now every time i walk in to the silkie coop another lil cutie catches my eye 😍🤎! like this pretty girlie! she might just be joining the show crew this fall!

i would love to see chocolates as a recognized variety one of these days - they are just so beautiful!

while i'm not a fan of all the little creatures who sneak in to snack on my garden i hate when they get hurt 😞. had to free this lil guy from the strawberries today!

he got in but got stuck trying to get out!! i was worried he broke his little ankle but he took off VERY quickly when i cut the netting so maybe not!

i use bird netting, the liquid fence spray & reflective ribbons mostly to keep animals out. just got some fencing too but haven't gotten around to getting it up yet.

what does everyone use to protect their garden? i'm always looking for more ideas!

got 22 dahlia tubers planted today 🎉! should get some blooms this year - just a bit late! now only about 100 more to go 🙃.

they're from an Ermine project - the mostly white one is def a boy & maybe girl for the black?

sweetest personalities & even the boys are so incredibly gentle. they have been living with kikirikis & it was hilarious - the tiny kikirikis bossed them around 🤣!! they're just so chill.

just make a donation towards feed!

i also have a couple of cute bantam easter egger pullets that would be interested in updating their address 🙂!
