Proper Pup is heading into 2027 with a few changes. 🐾

Beginning January 1, 2027, an updated services and pricing structure will take effect.

Over the past year, Proper Pup has continued shifting toward what I want this business to be: fewer dogs, more individualized attention, more training, and a more structured environment.

A few of the biggest changes:
• Boarding will be $60/night per dog
• Canine College will remain $65/day, with a 10-day pass for $600
• Traditional daycare has been replaced by Canine College
• Training continues to be the primary focus of Proper Pup

I know price changes are never the exciting part of running a business, but keeping my numbers intentionally smaller allows me to give each dog more of my time, attention, and care. And that is the direction I want Proper Pup to keep growing.

New rates take effect January 1, 2027. 💚

Thank you to everyone who continues to trust me with your dogs. It genuinely means more than I can put into a pricing sheet.

A very overdue Georgia update. ❤️🐾

Georgia has been home for a few weeks now, but I never shared one of my favorite parts of her Board & Train.

A big focus for Georgia was learning to navigate the world with more confidence. New environments, noises and distractions could make her unsure, so we spent a lot of time simply getting out there and working through it together.

And my favorite part? That last clip isn’t me walking her. That’s her mom during Georgia’s go-home session. 🥹

Because the goal isn’t for your dog to listen beautifully to me. The goal is for everything we worked on to transfer back to you. ❤️🐾

This weekend’s crew 🐾🤍

Just a few of the faces spending their weekend at Proper Pup!

Good dogs, questionable decisions, lots of outside time, and apparently a strict requirement that everyone make their own ridiculous face for the camera. 😂

Weekends around here may look a little different for every dog, but the goal stays the same: keep things structured, comfortable, and feeling as much like home as possible. 🏡🐶

Happy weekend from the Proper Pup crew!

🎓 And just like that… that’s a wrap on traditional daycare at Proper Pup. 🥹🐾

Today was our last Thursday and officially our final day of traditional doggie daycare.

It’s definitely a little bittersweet. Over the years, daycare has brought so many dogs through these gates, created friendships, caused an absolutely unreasonable amount of chaos 😂, and given me the chance to watch so many of these pups grow up.

But Proper Pup has grown too.

I’ve realized I want the time dogs spend here to be about more than simply wearing them out and sending them home tired. I want to use that time intentionally. Training. Enrichment. Structured socialization. Individual attention. Real-life skills. And yes, still plenty of playing with their friends. ❤️

So traditional daycare is retiring, and when we come back from vacation, Canine College officially begins. 🎓🐾

Same place. Same people they love. Same friends.

Just a whole lot more purpose behind their day.

Thank you to every family who trusted me with their dogs during the daycare chapter of Proper Pup. Some of these faces have been coming here for YEARS, and that makes closing this chapter hit a little differently. 🥹

Here’s to the end of one era and the beginning of an even better one.

Now somebody give these daycare graduates their diplomas before they file a complaint with administration. 😂🎓🐾

Please welcome our newest Proper Pup student, Charles. 💚

He’s a little weird with other dogs, his recall is questionable, and I have some concerns about his prey drive… but we don’t discriminate. 😂

Charles will be starting Canine College in October. Please respect his privacy during this transitional period. 🎓

🏖️ VACATION REMINDER! 🐾

Proper Pup will be CLOSED September 21st through October 4th for vacation!

During this time, there will be no daycare, boarding drop-offs/pick-ups, training sessions, or appointments.

We’ll be back and ready to see everyone beginning October 5th! 🐶💚

Please make sure you’ve planned accordingly, and thank you for allowing me a couple weeks to temporarily pretend my life doesn’t revolve around dogs. 😂
