Meet South Florida’s newest little lion. 🦁🐱

Nick gave this beautiful girl a lion cut—a professional cat grooming style where the body is clipped short while the fur around the head and neck is left longer to create a soft “mane.” The lower legs and a tuft at the end of the tail are usually left fluffy too.

A lion cut can be a good option for long-haired cats with difficult tangles, heavy matting, or coats that have become hard to maintain. It can also make regular coat care easier for senior cats or cats that struggle to groom themselves.

What should you tell your groomer before the appointment?

The more we know about your dog, the better we can make the grooming experience.

Please tell us about any skin allergies, sensitive areas, medical conditions, recent injuries, or previous reactions during grooming. If your dog is nervous around clippers, dislikes having their paws touched, or has ever tried to bite, don’t be embarrassed—this information helps us work safely and patiently.

It’s also helpful to share:

• The haircut or style you want
• Any mats, tangles, fleas, or skin irritation you’ve noticed
• Products or shampoos your dog should avoid
• Anything that usually helps your dog stay calm

A reference photo is always welcome, but the final haircut will depend on your dog’s coat condition and what can be done safely and comfortably.

Florida weather can be rough on your dog’s coat—even when everything looks fine on the surface. 🌴🐶

Heat, humidity, beach sand, and outdoor play can lead to tangles, trapped moisture, excess shedding, and irritated skin. That’s why many dogs who need regular haircuts do best with professional grooming every 4–8 weeks.
