* Deposits are refundable if the buyer decides not to proceed with the purchase before the sale is finalized, subject to the cancellation and no-show policies below.
* All eligible deposit refunds will be processed within five (5) business days of the approved cancellation or refund request.
* Refunds apply exclusively to deposits. Once a sale is finalized, all payments are final and nonrefundable, subject to applicable law.

* Resale assistance does not guarantee a successful resale, reimbursement, or repurchase.
7. Payment, Ownership & Liability Transfer
* All horses must be paid for in full before leaving the premises.
* Payment must be received and verified before the horse is released.
* A signed bill of sale is required for all purchases.
* Ownership and responsibility for the horse transfer to the purchaser upon receipt and confirmation of payment in full, as documented in the bill of sale.
* This transfer applies even if the horse remains temporarily housed at 2nd Chance Stables following the sale.
* From the time ownership transfers, the purchaser assumes responsibility for the horse’s ongoing care, maintenance, veterinary expenses, farrier services, and other ownership-related costs as outlined in the purchase and boarding agreements.
* The purchaser also assumes the contractual risk of loss or injury to the horse from the time ownership transfers, to the extent permitted by law.
* Temporary boarding at 2nd Chance Stables does not extend or delay the transfer of ownership.
* Any continued boarding arrangement is subject to separate terms governing care, emergency veterinary authorization, and the responsibilities of both parties.
* Nothing in these policies releases 2nd Chance Stables from liability that cannot legally be waived.
8. Pickup & Temporary Boarding
* Purchased horses must be picked up within seven (7) calendar days of the completed sale.
* Horses remaining on the premises beyond seven days will incur a temporary boarding fee of $25 per day.
* Boarding fees must be paid in full before the horse is released.

* Buyers are responsible for arranging transportation within the required timeframe.
* Veterinary, farrier, medication, and extraordinary care expenses incurred after ownership transfers are the purchaser’s responsibility as outlined in the applicable agreements.
* Buyers must provide appropriate emergency contact information while their purchased horse remains on the property.
9. Transportation
* Transportation may be available for an additional fee.
* Transportation costs are determined by distance, scheduling, and individual circumstances.
* All transportation fees must be paid before delivery.
* Buyers may arrange their own transportation.
* Horses will not be released to third-party transporters without purchaser authorization and confirmation of payment in full.
