Delbert is a 5 year old grey gelding. He stands an honest 16.3 hands and wears a 1 on the front and a 0 on the hinds. He is extremely gentle and easy to be around. He has been ridden all over the ranch, branded on extensively, ran to and doctored cattle, as well as spent time in the arena getting a nice handle for a horse his size.
Delbert is very honest to ride and never has bucked, run off or done anything bad with us in the 2 years weāve owned him. (I do ride him too, Iām just usually behind the camera.) He does well with time off and is very personable.
He is not your typical hot barrel bred horse. His demeanor is very chill but you can ask for him to turn up the heat and man can this horse fly. He doesnāt get out of control and can come down as soon as you ask.
Delbert did sustain an injury last fall when he got his hind leg hooked over his hobbles that has caused him to have one ankle thatās bigger than the other. He got the time off, rehab, and supplements he needed and now is sound and unaffected by it. X-rays available to serious parties.
It is because of this blemish that we have this nice gelding priced so low at 8###. You wonāt find another gentle, capable, experienced, well-bred 5 year old gelding priced like that.
Short video in comments and x-ray available to seriously interested parties.
