What a fun Friday at Northview! 🐾❤️

I had the BEST time visiting my friends at Northview and helping celebrate the students who worked hard reading throughout the summer! 🎉📚 The readers earned a special pizza party, and the other students joined them for lunch. 🍕 Way to go, readers — Willa Mae is SO proud of you! 🐶👏❤️

And there was one little face I was EXTRA excited to see… my girl! 🥰❤️ I think the smiles on both of our faces say it all!

Today I’m heading to Northview in Peru, and I can’t wait to see all of the students and staff again! I’ve missed all the smiles, pets, and fun that come with school visits. 🥰

🐾 Willa Mae needs a few practice helpers! 🐾

As we prepare for our upcoming HOPE Animal-Assisted Crisis Response screening, I’d love to find a few people that Willa doesn’t know very well who would be willing to help us practice some real-life scenarios.

We might ask you to pretend to be upset or crying, speak loudly or excitedly, approach us unexpectedly, use a cane or walker, or help with a few other situations that Willa could encounter while working as a crisis-response therapy dog. Nothing difficult—we just want to see how she responds and help her learn to remain calm and comfortable in unusual situations.

If you know Willa but she doesn’t know you very well and you’d be willing to give us a little of your time, please send me a message. We would really appreciate the help! ❤️🐾

Today was all about spending time with the fantastic staff! 🩷 We had such a wonderful day, shared lots of smiles, and enjoyed plenty of pets and cuddles. Thank you for making us feel so welcome—we can’t wait to come back!

Today at 5:30 I’ll be joining my therapy dog friends Sammy, Frankie, Hobo, and Dolly at the back shelter of Lake Mendota to offer quiet comfort, gentle hugs, and a little extra love to everyone affected by this heartbreaking tragedy in our town.

Today I made a quick surprise visit to OSF Saint Paul in Mendota, and it made my tail wag with happiness! I got to spend time with some of my wonderful friends and even made a few new ones along the way. Seeing so many smiling faces filled my heart with joy. I’m already counting down the days until I can come back for more hugs, pets, and happy visits. I can’t wait to see everyone again!
